‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Is Valentin the Long-Lost Son of Victor Cassadine?
General Hospital spoilers suspect that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) may be Victor Cassadine‘s (now Charles Shaughnessy) biological son, making him part of the legacy family after all. But, of course, the legacy character has been recast. Now, there is only a thirteen-year age gap between the current actors. However, the original Victor (Thaao Penghlis) is 75 and well old enough to be Valentin’s dad on the ABC soap opera. Plus, the character’s history is long-standing and makes him well old enough to be Val’s pop.
General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin Cassadine Devastated by Helena Bombshell
Not long ago on GH, Valentin Cassadine got a hefty blow when he learned Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) is his birth mother. Currently, it seems that Valentin accepts that he is not a true Cassadine son. But, at first, he was livid. General Hospital viewers will recall that Valentin almost took his own life after receiving the news that the monstrous woman was his mama.
Thankfully, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) talked him down on General Hospital. Clearly, it was hard for Valentin to rebuild after learning that his life was a lie. Now, Valentin has a new life and is making a name for himself as the CEO of ELQ. Between the Q company and his new “daughter” Bailey, Val is smack dab in the middle of the Quartermaine family.
However, it’s only a matter of time before Valentin learns that Bailey is not his daughter. Then, he may spiral out of control and turn to the dark side again. And soon, Val may learn that he does, in fact, belong to the crazy legacy family, hint General Hospital spoilers.
But that could be on his father’s side – and not his mother’s. Although Helena carries the name on General Hospital, she married into it. But there remains the long-swirling question of who’s baby she birthed. She made it clear that Val was not one of Mikkos’ spawn. That’s one of many reasons she abandoned her son.
Surprise Twist Makes Val one of the Family After All on GH?
General Hospital spoilers predict Victor Cassadine could be Valentin Cassadine’s unknown dad. Just because they cast a younger actor as Victor, his long-running GH history stands. Back in the 80s, Victor was a younger brother to Mikkos (John Colicos). But he was an adult busy with his own plots and schemes. So, he’s at least 70 years old based on known character activity on General Hospital.
That puts him in the right age range to be the potential daddy of Valentin. Also, it makes perfect sense that Helena would have an affair behind her husband’s back. And bedding his brother is just the sort of venomous thing Helena would do to clap back at her cheating husband on General Hospital.
Nikolas: "You’re good at mind games. Now, who does that remind me of? Oh yeah, Helena. Like mother, like son."
Valentin: "This father/son thing you’ve discovered is really touching."
Spencer: "Well at least I know who my father is."

Remember, Mikkos was unfaithful. He had an affair with Alexis’ mother behind Helena’s back, recall General Hospital recaps. No doubt, evil Helena was most likely out for revenge – as she always was. And it’s possible that Valentin was the result of that affair. Plus, after Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) went off on Val about not being one of them, it’d be great if it turns out that he is.
Val Gives Nik a Run for His Money on General Hospital
GH spoilers believe Valentin Cassadine won’t waste any time claiming what is rightfully his. If he’s indeed Victor’s son. He’ll likely march over to Wyndemere and throw it in Nikolas’ face that they are blood relations. Then, perhaps, he’ll move right into the castle with his nephew and squat there. He may refuse to leave since the inheritance is partly his as a son of one of the elder brothers on General Hospital.
No doubt, it will make for some great drama moving forward on General Hospital. Plus, Soap Dirt recently reported that the Victor Cassadine actor is on contract for at least six months – maybe longer. So, there’s plenty of time for a royal battle. Soon, Victor may finally show his face in Port Charles. Remember, Victor was crushed to learn that Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) was not his son – as Dr. O let him believe for a time.
So, he might be thrilled on General Hospital to learn he has a son in Valentin. He may side with his bio-son against Nikolas and his son Spencer (Nicholas Chavez). Soon, Nikolas might need to face the fact that Val is part of his family – like it or not. And we might be in for one heck of a twist soon on GH if Valentin Cassadine discovers Victor is his father on the ABC soap opera.
