‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Is Victor Cassadine Back – Charles Shaughnessy New Role?
General Hospital spoilers confirm Charles Shaughnessy debuts soon and some suspect he’ll be recast Victor Cassadine (formerly Thaao Penghlis). This is a homecoming for Charles who’s been on GH before – but not for many years. Surely, the Cassadine villain isn’t really dead and has some old scores to settle and could be seeking vengeance, hint ABC soap opera scoops.
General Hospital Spoilers: Victor Cassadine Clues Dropping Everywhere
Recently, GH has been name-dropping Victor Cassadine quite a bit. First, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) used Victor as his alias when he returned to town. Then, Spencer brought his name up again to Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Plus, Charles debuts in just a few weeks (maybe less).
Liesl’s boyfriend, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), was in shock to hear of her involvement with Victor back in the day. So, this means there’s a good chance he could return soon. Is that the role Charles will play?
Currently, he’s presumed dead, but General Hospital fans know that means nothing. Villains never die, especially a Cassadine. Plus, a recently leaked script suggests Victor could resurface – with a twist… And with Charles set to premiere in upcoming episodes, the red flags are really waving.
Charles Shaughnessy on GH Soon – Is he a Cassadine?
General Hospital spoilers promise Charles Shaughnessy joins the cast again soon. Longtime fans may remember that he got his start on soaps with GH back in 1984. Back then, he played Holly Sutton’s (Emma Samms) cousin Alistair Crawford.

Then, Charles went on to huge soap success as Shane Donovan on Days of Our Lives. And, of course, he’s well known for his role as Maxwell Sheffield on The Nanny. Now, he is set to join General Hospital, and he is on contract. So there’s a chance he could reprise the character of Holly’s cousin. Remember, someone faked her death awhile ago.
However, spoilers suggest Charles might be a recast Victor. Recent chatter hints that Thaao Penghlis was not available, so he may take over. Victor has been off the canvas for years, but he could surely pop up again. The last time he resurfaced in 2014, it was after a 33 year absence. So, we might see Victor Cassadine soon and he may set his sights on Liesl, suggest General Hospital spoilers. Will it be Charles Shaughnessy in that role?
Liesl Obrecht Plots on General Hospital
Currently, on GH, Liesl and her man Scott are about to embark on a trip to St. Lucia for a medical conference. However, Liesl turns the journey into a plot to kill Peter August (Wes Ramsey), promise General Hospital spoilers. But, leaked intel tells us they end up in harm’s way. And if Peter’s working with Victor, that may be where Charles comes into play.

A leaked General Hospital script reveals that someone intercepts Liesl’s plans. A couple of goons drug Liesl and instead of bringing her to St. Lucia, they deliver her to “the boss,” who might be none other than Victor, predict General Hospital spoilers. Fingers crossed that they’ve got Charles Shaughnessy in this pivotal role of a big bad.
GH Spoilers: Victor Goes After Obrecht?
General Hospital spoilers believe a not-so-dead Victor Cassadine may be after Liesl for revenge. Years ago, Liesl got romantic with Victor. She even tried to pass her son Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) off as his son. Of course, that was to protect Nathan from Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). In fact, Liesl shot him in the chest and is responsible for his “death”. If Charles is recast Victor, that won’t be good for Dr. O.
So, the villain could be out to make Liesl pay for lying and trying to kill him. Or, he might want her back. Perhaps, a little bit of both.
