‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Carly Corinthos & Britt Westbourne – Unlikely Best Friends?
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) may be forming a new friendship, say General Hospital spoilers. The unlikely new duo is a surprising twist for the ABC Soap.
General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Corinthos & Britt Westbourne Both Ready for Change
It’s been a long time coming. Since his return from Nixon Falls, Carly hasn’t felt right about her husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
She was suspicious of his relationship with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Her suspicions were confirmed when she caught the two of them in bed together. Carly is done with Sonny — for now anyway.
Britt was in love with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Their relationship was brief but started to heat up again when the mob enforcer was presumed dead. The General Hospital Co-Chief of Staff is struggling.
There was no love lost between Britt Westbourne and Carly Corinthos because they were both in love with Jason. When Jason chose to marry Carly, Britt was devastated.

There was a definite competition between the two women in Stone Cold’s life. This is not a recipe for friendship. But with Jason gone, the two women don’t have much to fight about.
They even bonded slightly over their grief. A fun, drunken Valentine’s Day may have sealed the deal on a friendship between the two General Hospital women.
Friendships Between the Women on GH?
It is great to see women bonding on soaps like General Hospital. Soaps tend to thrive on love and jealousy, so it is nice to see strong friendships.
There are some wonderful long-term friends such as Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner). These two had their ups and downs, but their relationship endured through the years.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) have been close all of their lives. Maxie even named her baby after her best friend. The actresses are also close in real life.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) are BFFs and never let each other down. There are newer bonds on GH. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Maxie Jones never liked each other.
But they needed each other recently and that pushed them together. They have been through a lot and will hopefully remain good friends. As GH Twitter, showed, they bonded improbably.
A New Side to Carly & Britt on General Hospital
Britt Westbourne was never anyone’s favorite doctor at General Hospital. She deserved her horrible reputation on the ABC soap because there was a time when she was pretty awful.
But a softer side of Britt is showing, and she is more likable. Even the staff is warming up to her. She has her best friend Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) but doesn’t have a close girlfriend to confide in.
Carly Corinthos doesn’t exactly have a massive fan club either. She’s short-tempered and made enemies of many women over the years.
She is possessive over both Sonny and Jason and tends to create problems with anyone they get close to. But we may see a whole new Carly now that she is single.
She may need a good friend to confide in and hang out with. Britt Westbourne may be the woman for the job. These two could make fabulous friends. That is, unless Jason returns…
