‘General Hospital’ Return Date Revealed Plus 5 Plot Predictions for Maxie, Peter & More

When Will General Hospital Start Filming New Episodes – It’s Not June 12 as Some are Saying
Actor Tristan Rogers, AKA Robert Scorpio, tweeted the date of the 12th of June that got people talking. However, that is NOT when GH will be back to work, says our inside source. First, let’s break down what Tristan said. It was that production’s okayed for that date. That’s true. California’s Governor Gavin Newsom said that’s the earliest date TV and movies could resume shooting.
And Tristan issues a follow-up tweet, making that clear once General Hospital fans freaked out over his social post. Here’s what we know. There are many hurdles to jump before the ABC soap can get back to shooting. The latest scoop is that they will return at about the same time as CBS soaps Y&R and B&B, which we’ve heard is on or about June 22.
If GH gets back to work at the same time as the ABC soaps, then you can expect to see new episodes on the air by late July (possibly), but more likely, early August. And when they do come back, check out the plot predictions we’re hoping to see.

#1 Maxie Jones Pregnant – Peter Thrilled – General Hospital Spoilers
GH spoilers suspect Maxie Jones may be the one with the surprise bun in the oven. And, when new episodes air it may be confirmed. Of course, Maxie’s boyfriend, Peter August, will be overjoyed. However, Peter needs to get his act together and stop breaking the law on General Hospital.
If it turns out Maxie Jones is preggers they may even go as far as getting hitched. Before production stopped, GH was dropping hints here and there about a Peter-Maxie wedding. So, if Peter August wants to be a family man with Maxie Jones, he needs to stop acting like his bad boy alter-ego Henrik Faison on General Hospital.
#2 Mike Corbin Dies – Sonny Bottoms into Depression on GH?
When General Hospital returns, it may be on a sad note. Last we saw, Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) health plummeted. His Alzheimer’s was progressing, and he’d stopped eating. Spoilers told us Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) struggled to make decisions that might end his dad’s life on GH. So, he might try to hold on to Mike as long as possible.
But, if Sonny doesn’t let his dad go, he will only prolong the inevitable. Soon, General Hospital spoilers predict Mike won’t be able to make it much longer. No doubt, Sonny’s crushed when his dad passes. And, his depression may become too much for him to bear, causing him to spiral out. No doubt, this could be dangerous for everyone in his life on GH.
#3 Nelle Wins Joint Custody of Wiley – Torments Michael
When new General Hospital scenes are on, it’ll be back to Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) vs. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). When we left off, they were at war over Wiley on GH. Well, Michael’s worst nightmare might come true, and Nelle may get joint custody. Of course, it’s not as bad as sole custody.
However, he wants Nelle out of his son’s life altogether, on General Hospital. But, that may not be the case. So, if Nelle gets shared custody, she and her new husband, Julian Jerome (William deVry), will become a family with Wiley. And, they may bond over him and form a relationship making them stronger than ever on GH.
#4 Nikolas and Ava Finally Give in to Their Feelings on General Hospital
Another GH twist coming up may involve Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). No doubt, these two have been battling it out on General Hospital for quite some time. However, they may finally realize they love each other and try to make it work on General Hospital.
Recently, Nik’s son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel), gave his dad an ultimatum – him or Ava. However, Spencer may soon embrace his stepmother if he realizes she makes his dad happy. So, they may become a family instead of mortal enemies. That way, they will possess both love and wealth and may finally find happiness on General Hospital.
#5 Nina Discovers her Real Daughter – Nelle or Willow on GH?
General Hospital spoilers believe Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may finally find out who her long-lost child is on GH. Clearly, it seems Nelle is Nina’s daughter because she has what looks like the other half of the heart necklace. However, it still could be Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Of course, Nelle is a lot like Nina. However, Willow and Nina were always at each other’s throats.
Of course, that follows the General Hospital pattern. Remember, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and her mom Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) were volatile. As were Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and her mother Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). So, that makes it seem like Willow may belong to Nina. And, Nelle may just be a red herring to throw fans off. So, when GH gives us new episodes prepare to see if Maxie Jones is the one with the surprise pregnancy on ABC daytime.
