General Hospital Alum Brandon Barash is “Homies” with Kirsten Storms
Although Brandon Barash and Kirsten Storms’ marriage was short-lived, these two were longtime friends. She recounted recently that they were platonic friends for seven years before things turned romantic.
So, when they split, the Maxie Jones actress said that prior friendship meant they could be “homies” despite their divorce. She said that when chatting on General Hospital co-star Maurice Benard’s podcast.
The Sonny Corinthos actor frequently chats with current and former GH cast about mental health issues on his State of Mind show. The Mexie portrayer made it clear that she and Brandon prioritize daughter Harper Rose Barash (born January 7, 2014).
Both exes frequently share photos of them together with their offspring. Storms if also close friends with Barash’s fiancee Isabella Devoto. But recently, when Kirsten Storms got hurt, her ex-husband couldn’t resist teasing her about it.
Maxie Jones in Cast Soon — GH Actress Has Freak Accident
We’ll soon see Maxie Jones sporting a cast on General Hospital. Why? Kirsten Storms had an unfortunate run-in with a trash bag that left her with seriously injured fingers.
You can see below that the Maxie actress said it happened when she tried to sling a heavy trash bag into a dumpster. The drawstring wrapped around her fingers. And she said it tried to take her fingers “into the dumpster as well”.
She said she’ll be “rocking” a brace on the show as Maxie. And wanted fans to know she did it “just takin’ out the trash”. But she also said that Barash teased her. It was her middle finger that was injured.
And Storms said Barash told her it was karma for all the times she “flipped him off”. Then, she told him she’d flipped him off more “in my head”. And he told the General Hospital actress, “look what happened to your brain”.
You might recall that Kirsten Storms needed brain surgery almost a year ago to remove a large cyst. So, that was a pretty personal (and funny) dig. But then the Days of our Lives actor one-upped himself. In an epic way.

In addition to calling it karma for flipping him off and joking about her brain, Brandon Barash went even further. Also, if you didn’t know, he’s been over at Days of our Lives for a while now playing Jake DiMera.
DOOL first hired him short-term to replace Tyler Christopher as Stefan DiMera when the other General Hospital alum suffered a relapse. Then, when Days axed Christopher, they hired Barash full-time. But they’d already planned to kill his character, Stefan.
So, they created a twin named Jake and brought Barash back on contract. He’s now a fan fave on the NBC soap. So, what did the actor say about Kirsten Storms’ bizarre injury?
After the finger and brain joke, he cracked “wonder what’ll happen if you keep calling me a$$hole”. So, it sounds like he’s predicting karma might come for her rear end as well. Maybe he’s onto something…
