General Hospital Comings and Goings: Josh Kelly Debuts as…?
GH casting news reports that soap veteran Josh Kelly is set to join the sudser soon. Josh is famous for the character Cutter Wentworth on One Life To Live. Josh also starred on the Lifetime show UnReal as Jeremy Caner.
Plus, Josh had roles on several shows and films such as Station 19, Army Wives, Transformers, and many more. Now, Josh Kelly adds General Hospital to his list of credits.

And Josh will join the soap in a regular role at the end of May. There are no details about Josh’s character as of yet. However, some signs point to another Jason Morgan recast on General Hospital.
Cast Update: New Jason Morgan — 5 Major Hints
General Hospital comings and goings see five reasons why Josh Kelly could fill the shoes of mob enforcer Jason Morgan.
#1 Steve Burton moved on.
He took a role on Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem. The former Jason Morgan actor will reprise the role of Harris Michaels that he played in 1988. And it looks like Steve will start there and possibly move to the main show. So, he may be gone for good.
#2 Josh’s character will largely impact the lives of people close to Jason.
This role is said to interact closely with Jason’s ex-wife Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and her new man Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Indeed, Stone Cold’s return to General Hospital would throw “Sante” for a loop.
#3 Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is also affected by the character.
No doubt, that sounds like Jason. Of course, Britt is not over the mobster, and her heart still belongs to him. Plus, she soon spirals out of control.
So, it would be perfect timing for him to return to pull Britt back from the brink.
#4 Jason Morgan is about to be declared legally dead on General Hospital.
So, that’s a big clue that he could return just as his family is ready to move on.
#5 Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his ex-wife need their BFF.
Both Sonny and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) need Jason back desperately. Plus, Sonny recently had a Jason flashback.
So, these are five signs and strong indicators that Jason survived the tunnel collapse in Greece. And he might pop up soon. And yes, Josh Kelly’s a decade younger than the actor playing Jason’s twin Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
But that was also true of Billy Miller and Burton’s age gap the last time Jason Morgan came back from the dead…
More General Hospital Casting News: Familiar Faces Return
GH casting updates also confirm that shady music producer Linc Brown (Dan Buran) is back. And he will make life tough for Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). Also, medium Chelsea Lam (Jen Ray) is done on General Hospital.
As a fan that has watched General Hospital since I was a kid with my Mom, it is so fun that General Hospital is tweeting me😂🤣. I love GH! Tune in today! #generalhospital #chelsealam #medium #abc #thankyouportcharles @GeneralHospital https://t.co/uMyuozPJjy

She recently helped Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) contact the spirit of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). And things will be hard for Liz moving forward. Plus, Nancy Lee Grahn is back in the studio filming as Alexis Davis.
Her temporary recast, Stephanie Erb, wrapped up her stint as Alexis. Stephanie filled in for Nancy while she recovered from spinal surgery. Currently, Alexis is ready to put all her energy into The Invader after Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) wreaked havoc on her life.
Drew Cain Goes MIA on GH
In addition, Cameron Mathison is taking a short break from his role of Drew Cain on General Hospital. Currently, Cameron is on location in Ontario, Canada shooting the movie The Christmas Farm.
He misses his GH family and will be back as Drew when he wraps up in Canada. But for those thinking Josh Kelly might play Drew in his absence, that seems unlikely since the actor’s role is supposed to be long-term. And Mathison’s off only briefly.
Also, Jeff Kober returns soon as mobster Cyrus Renault. And Brian Norris recently joined the cast as paparazzi Felty. The photographer is causing issues for Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), who is using drugs again on GH.
And things are about to get intense for the face of Deception. Don’t miss a minute of the ABC sudser to see if Josh Kelly will take over as Jason Morgan. If Stone Cold returns, it will affect lives all over Port Chuck and it’s bound to be explosive.
