General Hospital Comings and Goings: Laura Spencer Actress Genie Francis Takes Break

Soon, on GH, Genie Francis goes on hiatus for the rest of the Summer. Genie’s beyond happy about her recent storylines and even more excited about what’s to come this Fall for legacy character Laura Spencer. But, Genie can’t wait to relax and spend time with her family.

But, with Genie leaving, that might spell trouble for the Mayor. Currently, Laura Spencer has her hands full with her son Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). And her grandson, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), is also giving her a run for her money.

General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Spencer (Genie Francis)

However, there might be another problem in store for Laura. Recently, her half-brother, Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight), showed up frantic and said there’s a problem. So, that sounds like something might be up with Laura’s psycho brother Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

Martin might tell Laura that they need to head to the prison out West to check on him. And that may be where Laura Spencer goes while Genie is on vacation, suspect General Hospital spoilers.

Esme Prince Causes an Uproar – GH Casting News

General Hospital ins and outs see Spencer’s secret girlfriend Esme just came out of the shadows and is certainly shaking things up. Now, GH viewers know that Esme is his partner in crime. Together, they are stalking Ava Jerome (Maura West). However, Esme takes things to a whole new level.

Clearly, the girl is unhinged. Not only did she torch Ava’s car, but she taunted Ava with Kiki Jerome’s (Haley Erin) memory. So now, Ava is ready to leave town. Plus, Esme’s presence blindsided poor Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla). But, this girl might prove to be more dangerous than anyone realizes, predict General Hospital spoilers.

General Hospital Ins and Outs: GH Nurses Reunite

GH casting news puts the GH nurses front and center where they should be. Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) is back and is head nurse again. So, hopefully, Piph will stick around. Also, Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) is on-screen again along with Deanna Sirtis (Dioni Michelle Collins). Of course, none are too happy with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

Plus, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) returned recently. And she will likely hang around to attend Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) wedding to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Also, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) comes back soon to deal with a Deception crisis on General Hospital.

GH Casting Update: Charles Shaughnessy Arrives Soon

Many General Hospital fans are ecstatic that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was recently revealed to be alive. Soon, Drew’s ex-wife Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) may put together a team to rescue him and bring him home. Elsewhere, another new character arrives soon played by Charles Shaughnessy.

Some General Hospital watchers may remember him from his time on The Nanny and Days of our Lives. It seems as though Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) father, Jeff Webber (formerly Richard Dean Anderson), may show up soon since his name keeps popping up.

So, Charles might play a recast of Liz’s dad. Also, Rif Hutton exited when Lenny Caulfield passed away. And Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Birmingham) was recently murdered, so her time on the sudser is up. On a happier note, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) returned from her leave of absence.

And she dropped in on Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in Nixon Falls, which might be bad news for Nina. It’s been a busy bit of casting activity at the ABC soap lately. So, Laura Spencer will be gone a while, but Esme and several others stick around to keep the drama going on the daytime drama.
