‘Farmer Wants a Wife’: Cassidy Jo Jacks Leaves the Farm – RECAP [S01E08]

On Farmer Wants a Wife, Cassidy Jo Jacks rode off into the sunset after Allen Foster was a lame duck on their final date. Farmer Hunter Grayson couldn’t hide his joy when Meghan Baker came back.

Ryan Black‘s elimination is decided for him when Lily Bauer flew the coop. And Landon Heaton brings in his BFF to give him some clarity. Gather ’round the campfire and let’s hash it all out in this recap of Season 1, Episode 8 Is There Room For One More.

Farmer Wants a Wife: Don’t Go Cassidy Jo!

On Farmer Wants a Wife, Cassidy Jo Jacks is stoked to go on her second solo date with Allen Foster. He’s chooses a trip down river in a canoe.

Cassidy Jo wants to know how many women have ridden his canoe before. And he stops short of giving a number but makes it clear she’s not the first to paddle downstream.

Cassidy Jo is really the only wifey wannabe this season who has authentic energy. She wants answers, attention and compliments.

And Allen is about as exciting as decaf coffee. He’s annoyed when she calls him out for not trying with her. So, Cassidy Jo Jacks takes herself out of the game. And leaves Allen with the other two. We’ll miss you, Cassidy. And my bet is Allen will too.

And at least you don’t have to look at those blue cabinets from his ex anymore. So, next steps for Allen are meeting the friends and family of the remaining two girls shacking up at his farm.  Scenes from next week show Allen admitting he’s not much into the city life.

Hunter Grayson Gets a Happy Surprise

Who knew farmer Hunter Grayson had it in him to be a heartbreaker on Farmer Wants a Wife. He’s still got 3 girls home on the range. And takes DeVonne Ryter on a date to see if there’s a spark.

He takes her to a cattle auction where she draws all the attention away from the steers. She wants to make a move on Hunter. It’s hard when he’s focused on bidding for Holsteins. There’s no doubt he’s feeling a spark. But he recently kissed Sydney Groom after a night of barn dancing.

The next day everyone heads out to rope cattle. An SUV rolls up kicking up dust and everyone stops and stares. It’s Meghan Baker looking cowgirl chic. In a real rom-com moment Hunter runs through the field to greet her as her hair blows in the wind.

The other girls look like they’ve just been served bull balls again. Meghan pulls Sydney aside to see who’s locked lips. She casually drops that she has. Host Jennifer Nettles sends a note saying it’s timer to thin the herd. And she doesn’t mean the cattle.

Farmer Wants a Wife: Ryan Black Gets a Farewell Letter

For Ryan Black, this weeks elimination also took care of itself. Lily Bauer recused herself from life on the farm with a simple letter left in a fruit bowl next to a mushy lime. She wasn’t feeling Ryan’s dismissal of Haley Ramirez due to her being too “emotional”.

So she slips out quietly leaving him with Sarah with an H and Sara without an H. Early on Ryan seemed pretty into Sarah Ruhlman. Even slipping her a rose at the rodeo. But Sara V. seems to be closing in on the homestretch.

As for Landon Heaton on Farmer Wants a Wife, he’s still got three women to choose from. And he takes Zoe Weaver on his final solo date. He admits she’s always in his line of sight. Ryan Black looks tired and calls up his best friend to help him out.

His friend thinks he seems more into the two remaining Ashleys. And Ashley R. pulls him aside to make sure he’s ok with meeting her daughter. He says he is definitely ok with it as long as she is. So, will Zoe be friend zoned? Stay tuned!
