‘Farmer Wants a Wife’: Allen Foster Gets the Boot from His First Choice – Recap

On Farmer Wants a Wife, farmer Allen Foster is a little shocked that his first choice of ladies to come back to his farm says no. Farmer Ryan Black is a hit with the ladies right from the jump.

Host Jennifer Nettles drives the action on the Fox show. Let’s check out what happened in season 1 episode 1 “Welcome to The Farms” in this recap.

Farmer Wants a Wife: Allen Foster Surprised by Early Rejection

Farmer Wants a Wife saw farmer Allen Foster a little stung when his first choice Ariana says no to joining him on the range. Allen admits he’s no romantic. And communication isn’t his strong point. He seems more comfortable chatting up the producer than the 8 ladies he speed meets.

The first gal he chats up is Cassidy Jo Jacks. While she feels an immediate spark, Allen doesn’t seem smitten. He finally feels a connection with Jersey girl Ariana. Later the farmers narrow down the 8 women they spent time with to 5.

Allen chooses Ariana first. While she seems flattered, she tells him she won’t be joining him on the farm. She didn’t feel the initial attraction was strong enough.

Allen Foster admits he didn’t see that coming onĀ Farmer Wants a Wife.Ā He chooses 4 other women and then Cassidy Jo Jacks last. She is happy but cries because she was the last choice.

Later she feels redeemed when he chooses her to be the first to join him in what host Jennifer Nettles calls the first 24. Meaning she’ll spend a solid 24 hours alone with Allen at his home on the farm.

Farmer Wants a Wife: Farmer Ryan Black Is a Hit with the Ladies

OnĀ Farmer Wants a Wife,Ā 32 women vie for the chance to meet a hunky bachelor down on the range.Ā  The catch is there are only 4 farmers.

Farmer Ryan Black is a hit with the ladies and even host Jennifer calls him handsome. He isn’t just easy on the eyes but easy to talk to. He connects with most of the women he meets in the speed dates.

When it comes time to make his choices, he picks New Yorker Haley to head to the farm for the first 24. But he included Lily in his final 5.

The pair seemed to share a definite attraction and he admits he was “besotted” with Lily when she walked away after the first meeting. He also won over the ladies when he teared up talking about potentially finding love on the Fox show.

Farmer Landon Heaton Hits It off with Ashley

Farmer Landon Heaton brings the cornball in his debut onĀ Farmer Wants a Wife.Ā The cattle rancher from Oklahoma says he’s more nervous than “a cat in a roomful of rocking chairs” when he lays eyes on all the ladies who have come to rope a cowboy. But he definitely feels the spark when he connects with single mom Ashley.

Landon Heaton admits he’s shy. But the shyness melts away when he chats with Ashley, a single mom from Orlando, Florida. He says that Ashley is “as cute as a speckled pup sleeping in the shade of a wagon wheel”.

And she seems equally charmed in spite of the puppy reference. So, it’s no surprise he chooses Ashley to go for the first 24 hours on his farm.

Hunter Grayson Looks for Love on Farmer Wants a Wife

Farmer Hunter Grayson is a cattle and horse rancher from Georgia. Underneath the cowboy hat he proves to be sensitive and thoughtful when meeting the 8 women who want a chance with him.

He bonds with one of the women over both losing their mothers. But seems especially smitten with Sydney Groom, a booking agent from Nashville, Tennessee.

So, it’s no surprise on Farmer Wants aĀ Wife when he chooses Sydney to accompany him to the farm first. She reveals she actually judged pigs in her younger days. But has a fear of animals bigger than her.

Hunter admits that most women he’s run into judging livestock aren’t as hot as Sydney. She definitely gives off Paris Hilton in The Simple LifeĀ vibes. Will these two be a match made in hog heaven?
