Did Kody Brown Paint the Wrong Picture?
For the last few years, Kody Brown carried on with Meri Brown as an estranged couple. Kody continues to say this is due to her catfishing incident. He even rehashed this event in Part 1 of the One on One Tell-All.
He maintains that his first wife betrayed him. And he claims that’s why he withholds intimacy from her. But when it was Meri Brown’s turn to speak, she floored fans with her reveal. She confirmed that they’re not intimate. That’s true.
But she also reveals it wasn’t the catfishing incident that ended it. Meri claims it’s been about a decade with no bedtime activities with her husband. That online affair took place in 2015. According to TLC Twitter, Kody said he doesn’t feel “safe” being intimate with her.
But the Sister Wives’ first bride said their bedroom activities stopped a few years before that. It seems something else caused the bedroom blackout for the Browns. But no one revealed if there was another trigger or things just petered out.
Meri Brown Hesitates — Then Spills on Sister Wives: One on One
So, what does this mean to fans? Looking back to when the reality series debuted, Kody had Meri on the schedule. That’s the schedule that gathered so much attention in the past.
Each wife got a visit from their shared husband every fourth night. That was until some of the ladies started to fall off that roster. From what it sounds like today, the schedule is gone, and he lives with Robyn Brown only.
The three-part Sister Wives: One on One special filmed in 2021. So, do the math on Meri’s timeline of 10 years without intimacy. That means she and Kody weren’t intimate since roughly 2011. That’s around the time the series started.
The Brown premiered on TLC with their polygamy show in 2010. And fans saw Kody Brown make the rounds. He went from the bedroom of one wife to another during the first several years. But was that just for reality TV purposes?
This could be why Meri hesitated when host Sukanya Krishnan asked her about their dry spell. Meri Brown said she didn’t know how far she should get into it. But she finally said it’s been a decade since she and Kody Brown did the deed.

Years ago on their show, Meri Brown and her husband talked about trying for another baby to no avail. Then, Robyn Brown stepped up and offered to be a surrogate mother for her co-wife. But they declined the offer.
Sister Wives cameras didn’t follow Kody and his wives all the way into their bedrooms at night. But fans assumed that Meri’s attempt to get pregnant meant they were engaged in conjugal activities. That is how you make a baby, after all…
Even when the five Brown adults went out on tour together, they reportedly kept to their Kody-sharing schedule. A clip showed him moving his baggage from one wife’s hotel room to another.
On the TLC series, it appeared that he stayed with all four wives on their designated nights when away together. So, this begs the question. Meri Brown revealed a decade of no action with Kody. So, was him rotating into her bedroom just for the cameras?
Since this reveal came out of Part 1 of the three-part One on One season-ender, Kody may need to answer this. So, let’s hope Sukanya presses Kody to explain Meri’s claim of a decade of no nookie.
