‘Days Of Our Lives’: Brandon Barash Temporarily Replaces Tyler Christopher
Days of Our Lives spoilers show Brandon Barash will temporarily replace Tyler Christopher. This has the General Hospital fans rejoicing at the chance to see Brandon Barash on a daytime soap again. He comes back to GH once in a while, but just not enough. Daytime Confidential was the one to break this huge news today.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Brandon Barash is coming to DOOL
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Tyler Christopher is going to be taking leave on DOOL. They don’t want his character gone, though. Instead, Brandon Barash will be joining the show to take over his role. This is not a permanent change. It will just be until Tyler Christopher returns. The actors do know each other from their time on ABC’s General Hospital.
Why Is Tyler Christopher leaving DOOL for now?
So far, they are only saying that Tyler Christopher is taking off for personal reasons. The details haven’t been released, but the Days of Our Lives fans would love to know. Back in April, Tyler shared that he needed surgery to rebuild his left arm. He had surgery on that same arm back in 2005. He had a bad break to it years ago and it seems the arm is still plaguing him.
On Instagram, he shared, “Phase 1 to rebuild my left arm” then he joked about being cut and said, “this ones gonna hurt.” So it could be that Tyler’s going back under the knife for his troublesome appendage.
When Tyler left General Hospital, it was not supposed to be a permanent move, but it ended up that way. Contract negotiations didn’t go as planned and the next thing you knew he was on DOOL. Ron Carlivati used to be on General Hospital and then moved over to DOOL. He was able to scoop him up over a salary dispute and is really helping the ratings at Days of Our Lives.
So far, there is no word on when this change will take place. Brandon Barash is best known for playing Johnny Zacchara on General Hospital. Brandon is also in the band Port Chuck with other soap stars from GH Steve Burton, Scott Reeves, and Bradford Anderson. He has a daughter with Kirsten Storms who plays Maxie on GH.

Could this mean something for General Hospital?
There has been a lot of talk lately about General Hospital bringing back Nikolas Cassadine. When this character died, they never actually found a body. The storyline is one that could easily come back. Fans speculate that if they do it that Tyler Christopher won’t be the one playing the role, though. Instead, they assume a new actor will play Nikolas.
Brandon Barash only shows up as Johnny Zacchara from time to time on General Hospital. He hasn’t been back in a while. There is no reason that he can’t handle the role of Stefan O. DiMera for the time being as well. It will be interesting to see how this all turns out in the end.
