Mike Horton in DOOL comings and goings came back after an absence of more than a decade from Salem. And the last time he was on in 2010, Mike stuck around for just three episodes.
The last time Mike was a series regular on Days of Our Lives was back in 1999. Then, out of the blue, the Peacock soap called Critchlow and asked him to reprise the role. Naturally, he agreed.
But is Michael Horton leaving DOOL again or will he stick around? This go round, Mike didn’t see a lot of people. He visited Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and his cousin Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). Plus, he had a tense run in.
What’s the Deal with Nancy & Mike on DOOL?
In Days of Our Lives comings and goings, Mike ran right into Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) and was none too pleased. But why? Back in the late 90s/early 00s, Nancy’s then-husband Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) was a professional rival of Mike Horton.
They both wanted the chief of staff position. Nancy and Crang conspired against Mike to discredit him. They tried to make him look like a sexual harasser and nearly ruined his career. So, when Nancy greeted him warmly, it’s no wonder he was bitter.
But the main reason Mike Horton’s back in Salem is his little sister, Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain). Ever since she was a troubled teen, her brother’s been her rock. And now, she needs him more than ever on Days of Our Lives.
Mike Takes Sister to Rehab — Will He Return to Days of Our Lives?
Jennifer’s at rock bottom on the Peacock streaming soap. Her daughter, Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller), was brutally murdered. And that stress tipped her off the wagon and back to her pill addiction. She even drove while high on pills.
Remember, she ran down Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) while driving stored. Luckily, Gwen won’t press charges, but Jean’s got to get clean. So, she called big brother Mike Horton. And she’s in rehab thanks to support from her brother Michael.
Days of Our Lives had Roark Critchlow back for just two episodes. So, he’s already come and gone. But once Jenn’s detoxed and her addiction’s under control, maybe still bring Mike Horton back to Salem with her.
