Most people that know anything about Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s family from Counting On know they have very unique beliefs. While there are other people that are fundamentalists, it is a small percentage of the country. Jim Bob and his wife Michelle are very strict with their children. And even admit to tracking and spying on their adult children.
You may have noticed that when Jim Bob’s children came into the world, they instantly got a buddy. They talked about the buddy system and how she would hand the babies off to the older children. Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar got a lot of flack for this, but it wasn’t anything compared to the blanket training.
Fans Don’t Like The Blanket Method For Discipline
The Duggar family has a focus on making babies and discipline. Since that is the case, it makes sense that they would combine the two—even at a very young age. Most fans of Counting On likely haven’t noticed this training, but there are many that honed in on it. And some even call it child abuse.
With this type of training, the Duggars tell their baby to stay on a blanket that is on the floor. If the baby goes off the blanket or if they even put their hands out beyond the boundaries, they strike the baby. They strike the little one with a wooden spoon according to Michelle Duggar from Counting On. Many fans don’t like this form of discipline and have said so on social media.
