There’s a lot of curiosity around Chelsea Lawson right now since Melissa Claire Egan is baby-bumping in real life. So, if you’re wondering is Chelsea pregnant in real life — the answer is yes.
In mid-February, Young and the Restless star Missy Egan showed off her bump and revealed that she’s pregnant again. She included a shot of herself with son Caden Katrosar, who’s a year and a half old.
The Chelsea actress is married to Matt Katrosar, an executive at Pluto TV/Viacom. Katrosar proposed to Egan in February 2013 and they married on July 26, 2014 in a rustic barn ceremony near a beach where cocktails were served pre-wedding.
The duo had a Jewish-Catholic ceremony to honor both their faiths. Then, seven years later, Chelsea Lawson’s alter-ego gave birth to their first son, Caden Katrosar in August of 2021. Egan joked that she’d already been married “about nine times” on Young and the Restless over the years!

As Soap Dirt reported back in 2018, Melissa Claire Egan suffered a miscarriage. She lost a baby in early 2018, but only revealed it months later. The Chelsea actress decided to discuss her pregnancy loss to raise awareness and help others dealing with the issue.
She said, “Please don’t feel alone… or like a failure… I’m here with you.” Egan added that she felt alone and “less than” after losing her baby at eight weeks. Also, country singer Carrie Underwood sharing her own pregnancy loss story inspired her to speak out as well.
In fact, The Young and the Restless longtime actress suffered two miscarriages before she had a full-term pregnancy and delivered her son Caden. Even worse, the miscarriage in 2018 came at the time she was prepping to leave Y&R and shooting final scenes.
Those scenes related to the custody of Chelsea Lawson’s son Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). She said she had a lot of crying scenes, but it was real tears she was shedding — not pretend — because she was struggling secretly with the loss of her pregnancy.

Will Chelsea and Billy Abbott Have Another Baby on Young and Restless?
Spoilers have Chelsea Lawson starting up a new romance with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) on Young and the Restless. They are still in the first stages of a relationship and facing many obstacles from others in Genoa City on Y&R. That’s because of Johnny Abbott’s (Paxton Mishkind) origin story.
Chelsea drugged and raped Billy then had him jailed as part of a scam. That was in her full-on con-woman days on the CBS soap opera. But as part of Chelsea’s mental health struggle and suicide attempt, she made amends with Billy — and he accepted. And now, he wants to be with her.
So, will Young and Restless write a pregnancy twist for Chelsea and Billy? If so, they’ll have to move fast since the actress is due in August. So, she’s about three to four months along. But soap opera pregnancies usually move pretty fast, so it’s still feasible.
We’ll have to wait and see if Y&R adds Chelsea Lawson’s real-life pregnancy to her storyline on the soap. But if they’re going that route then Chelsea and Billy need to hit the sheets soon. However, it seems more likely they’ll hide Egan’s bump behind purses, floral arrangements, and furniture.
