‘Bold and the Beautiful’: Zende Recast Brings Back Nicole & Avant Family?
Bold and the Beautiful confirmed its recast Zende Forrester with talented Delon de Metz – so will Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards) be back too? And what about the other Avants? Finally, B&B’s introducing much-needed diversity into its cast, so let’s take a look at the new Zende on the CBS sudser.
Who is Delon de Metz – Bold and the Beautiful’s New Zende Forrester?
You’ll first notice that Delon de Metz is gorgeous. Second, from his resume, we know he’s a talented addition to the B&B cast. And behind all that beauty is brains. The new Zende actor’s got a degree in economics from prestigious Harvard University. And he’ll be there filming as new episodes return.
Before landing the recast role of Zende Forrester (previously Rome Flynn) on Bold and the Beautiful, Delon worked in showbiz for nearly ten years. He’s starred in indie films, major motion pictures, and TV shows you’d recognize.

What’s Next for Zende – Will Nicole Avant Come Back to B&B Too?
Bold and the Beautiful last featured Nicole Avant in early 2018 at a family meeting. Before that, Nicole’s final storyline was her moving with Zende Forrester to Paris to work at the international branch of FC there. That move came at Maya Avant’s (Karla Mosley) request.
She felt Nicole was getting too close to Maya’s adopted daughter Lizzie, who, of course, was Nicole’s bio-kid. Plus, that came six months after Rome Flynn quit Bold and the Beautiful as Zende in a surprise move by the actor. So, Nicole Avant showed up now and then and mentioned Zende.
But, Zende Forrester popped up last on Bold and the Beautiful in early September 2017. So, we have to wonder if Zende’s return also brings his wife. If so, will Reign resume the role of Nicole Avant? It seems a long shot. She’s busy with new show The Wilds and has been on MacGyver and Snowfall as well.
Source Says Rome Refused – Then Delon Hired as Zende Recast on Bold and the Beautiful
Another interesting tidbit on this exciting B&B recast came from our source at CBS daytime. We reported prior that the network ordered Brad Bell to make efforts towards a more diverse cast. So, our source says casting contacted Rome about reprising the role. However, he’s way too busy.
Then, Bold and the Beautiful landed Delon de Metz as Zende Forrester. Since Delon’s done two other CBS shows, both NCIS and a spinoff, they likely could quickly cast him in the role, despite the COVID issues with auditioning new actors.
For now, Bold and the Beautiful hasn’t confirmed Delon’s first airdate as Zende Forrester. We’ll tell you when we get info. For now, we’re hoping this recast means the Avant family returns too. Congrats to the new Zende.
