‘Bold and the Beautiful’: Steffy Looks Itchy, Deacon’s Wallet Full, Hope Power Washed?
Bold and the Beautiful put Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), in scenes that needed a little more than what the CBS soap offered at the time. B&B takes a lot of liberties with real-life vs. fantasy.
Still, for the sake of the soap, fans usually just go along for the ride. But when something comes across the screen that sounds too far-fetched, fans bite back. When the viewers scratch their heads, the whispers start across the social media world.
Bold & Beautiful Whispers: Deacon Sharpe No More Money Woes?
Deacon Sharpe lives in a shoebox above the restaurant where he works. This is a step up from his days as a closet dweller. But not too big of a step.
Then Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) shows up with a promise of great wealth. She claims she has more money than Deacon could spend in a lifetime. So, where is this money, and how did she come by it?
But at the same time, they look as if they’re just scraping by on Bold and the Beautiful. Their last romantic dinner consisted of stolen steaks and booze. The items she served up as dinner, she lifted from his workplace.
But the biggest inconsistency yet for the parolee is that ring Deacon Sharpe happens to have in his pocket. He then pulled it out when proposing to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).
Sure, he said he’s carried it with him for a long time hoping for the day to arrive when he could offer it up to her. Not even a hint of Deacon’s expensive trinket came out in Bold and the Beautiful spoilers. This unexpected scene caught some slack on social media.
Viewers wanted to know how he got the money for the bling. You don’t offer someone like Brooke costume jewelry. So how did Deacon stuff his wallet with enough money to buy that ring?
This only made the asinine act of his fast-tracked proposal look even less attractive to fans. Fans say Bold and the Beautiful can’t have it both ways.
Deacon is broke when it works for the plot. But then rolling in the dough the next minute when a ring is needed? That’s one inconsistency that didn’t slip by B&B viewers.
B&B Whispers: Steffy Forrester’s Unfinished Business – Ridge Forrester Hit Hard This Season
Steffy Forrester is just one of the characters who sparked the fans’ interest in something other than the storyline unfolding. Viewers wanted to know what the folks behind the B&B scenes were thinking as Steffy left the wardrobe department to walk onto the set last week.
Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) didn’t seem to notice that her daughter had a good portion of her hair tucked into the top she was wearing. But the viewers noticed.
Some even suggested Steffy looked itchy with her hair all stuffed around her shoulders and neck. So, what was up with dressing Steffy Forrester this way?
The same holds true for something the soap scripted for Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). He left his wife and within hours he promised himself for the rest of his life to Taylor. He was moved by fate when a pinecone fell on his head a while back on Bold and the Beautiful.
But no one thought to tell Ridge that this is Autumn and, in the Fall, pinecones tumble down from trees along with their leaves. Maybe something more exact would have worked.
Say if a bird flew over and its droppings formed something that he could take as an omen. Like the perfect shape of Colorado, an airplane, or even the letter “T” for Taylor.
That would be more specific for coaxing him to accept this as fate. But a pinecone bouncing off his head in the Fall – that’s a huge stretch.
Bold and the Beautiful Whispers: Hope Logan in Sticky Situation
Hope Logan’s mannequin showing up again was a shocker for her, but it left viewers with a lot of questions. Social media comments cover a wide range of problems with this doppelganger from serious to comical. It was last seen on B&B at Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) apartment.
Comments from Bold and the Beautiful viewers asked – who brought the dummy back to FC and put it in storage? Instead of destroying it after the problems that this thing caused – here it is again. A few suggested this Hope look alike should be power washed after it last doubled for a romantic partner for the Forrester son.

One of the biggest inconsistencies to show up for Hope and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is the nights this wife spends away from home. The viewers never got to see this. But Liam sprung it on Brooke, which is how the Bold and the Beautiful audience learned about it.
How can this be okay? It doesn’t seem okay for Liam, yet he’s still with Hope and only complaining about it. But how can Hope Logan stay there while knowing what she’s putting her husband through? This seems so out of character for a woman whose lot in life is to protect other people’s feelings.
So, it looks like the Bold and the Beautiful inconsistencies and unfinished subplots help get characters from point A to point B. It’s one way to move things without too much effort from the CBS soap. But viewers don’t always buy what they’re selling.
