‘Bold and the Beautiful’: Li Finnegan Claims She’s ‘Looking after’ Her Son – Is a Twist Ahead?

Bold and the Beautiful had Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) at the hospital. She returned due to her son’s tragic death on the CBS soap. This mom looks angry when one of the first people she comes across is Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Li Finnegan Rules

Finn is dead and it seems John Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) adoptive mom is in for a battle. It’s assumed that Finn’s body is in the morgue, likely only a few floors below where they stood in a hospital hallway on B&B. Or is it?

While Sheila gave birth to John Finnegan, she has no legal rights as a family member. But as his legal adoptive mom — Li Finnegan does have the rights. So, it stands to reason she’d need to give permission for non-family to view his body.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda)

This gatekeeping position would typically go to his wife. But Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was in a coma at the time. And she’s got amnesia. Now, Sheila’s on a mission to see her son in the upcoming Bold and the Beautiful episodes.

She wants to see Finn one last time. But Li denies her request in no uncertain terms. His adoptive mom tells her no. And she warns Sheila to stay away. Still, this crazed woman most likely won’t take no for an answer. So, this is far from over on B&B.

B&B Spoilers: What Does Li Mean?

The conversation between Li Finnegan and Sheila raised some eyebrows. It was the way the adoptive mom worded what she had to say to the woman who gave birth to Finn.

In a recent Bold and the Beautiful episode, Sheila walks up to Li at the hospital. She asks her if she can see Finn one more time. She also continues to refer to Finn as “my son,” which angers Li Finnegan. Sheila tells her that they both lost a son.

But Li Finnegan tells her you can’t lose something that was never yours, to begin with. Little does the grieving doctor know she’s staring into the eyes of the evil shooter who killed her son.

The coldblooded killer tells Li it was a horrible “accident” and this sets her off. Li Finnegan tells her rival that an evil monster did this. They had this conversation previously on Bold and the Beautiful.

She also questions how this demented woman could call this an accident. That’s when Li tells Sheila that she won’t be seeing Finn, she won’t allow it. Then she tells the pushy birthmother “No, I am looking after Finn now.”

Some B&B fans saw this as an odd way to word it. But she could have meant she’s looking after his final arrangements, such as a funeral. But before this episode ends, Li says something similar again.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Is Finn Dead?

When Taylor shows up Sheila attempts to get her involved by stating her case in front of her. She tells Taylor as a mother, that she can understand why she wants to see Finn one more time.

But Taylor can’t answer — and Li brings the conversation to a screeching halt. She tells Sheila one more time “No, I told you, I am taking care of Finn now, the way I always have.”

Again a strange way to word things. So, this leads to a conspiracy theory among some B&B fans. Some viewers think Finn is not dead and that Li had him whisked away to a private hospital.

Fans suggest it’s not too far fetched for Bold and the Beautiful to script Finn in a coma along with Steffy. Plus they stretch it even more by proposing a “double amnesia” storyline in the works.

You have to admit, B&B offered few details about Li Finnegan. They offer even less info about his father and Li’s husband, Jack Finnegan (Ted King).

B&B Spoilers: Who Are the Finnegans?

Some Bold and the Beautiful fans thought Jack was somewhat of a shady character. Especially once they found out that Sheila was once in his life. This opened up room for even more speculation about Finn’s side of the family.

Li Finnegan is a surgeon, known worldwide, which was her introduction to fans of the soap. But Jack is mysterious. Fans know he’s not a doctor because Finn once gave a somewhat informative speech. He thanked both parents for his upbringing.

But he credited his mother, Li Finnegan, for her influence on becoming a doctor. He most likely would have credited both Jack and Li at the time if Jack was also a physician. So, what if Jack is a shady character after all?

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: What if…

Jack Finnegan could be on the right side of the law doing some kind of dangerous work. Like an undercover cop who infiltrated some underworld gang.

Or he could be on the wrong side of the law and involved in something dangerous as well. If that is the case, then either way they may think the shooting is related to Jack’s work.

With that said, they could have some influential people behind them keeping Finn safe somewhere undercover. So, with powerful people hiding him and Li’s medical pull — you never know.

It’s within the realm of possibilities that Finn is hidden away while they treat him for his wounds. They could worry that he was a target because of his father’s work. So, to keep Steffy and the Forrester family safe, they must let everyone believe he is dead.

If on the outside chance this is the case, how ironic that both Sheila and Li stood there slipping up on their parts in this tragedy. Sheila calls the shooting an accident because she aimed at Steffy.

Then Li slipped too by saying “I am taking care” of Finn if he’s alive. But then again, Finn could be dead and that’s all there is to it. This is Bold and the Beautiful so anything is possible.
