Big Brother houseguest Jasmine Davis has been billed as a Southern belle with her home-spun catchphrases that seem forced. Many BB24 viewers question whether her deep South accent is the real deal.

On the Live Feeds, Jasmine Davis talked about the catchphrases she keeps making up. When another houseguest asked if these are things she says in her everyday life, she admitted no, she’s just making them up as she goes along.
Clearly, BB24 production digs it since they keep regurgitating them. But if you check social media, you’ll find that most viewers don’t find her uber-thick accent attractive. And that’s because the prevailing opinion is that she’s faking it.

A quick scroll of the Twitter Big Brother fandom shows repeat criticisms of “country bumpkin act”, “country a**”, “fake country”, and “caricature”. So, is this accent something that Jasmine Davis created just for the CBS reality show?
In addition to her accent, commenters have taken to calling her “Jasmean” for her callous treatment of Taylor Hale (and ongoing lies about the pageant winner).
Influencer Who Doesn’t Say a Lot on Social Media
Jasmine Davis may be playing injured country girl on BB24, but back in her real life, she’s a high-dollar earning influencer. She claims to rake in $20k a month from her deals. She certainly has a nice home, and her life looks comfortable.
One thing you’ll notice quickly about her Instagram, though, is that Jasmine doesn’t talk in her IG videos. They have music soundtracks instead. You have to dig a little deeper to find what Jasmine sounded like before she entered the Big Brother house.
She’s all butter beans and chicken wings in the Diary Room and on eviction night, but is that really how she talks? You can see below a video from four years ago. It’s Jasmine and her husband in the car, and you can hear her accent from years ago.
Big Brother Fans Think Jasmine’s Country Accent is Fake
Fans just cannot believe that Jasmine Davis’ accent is legit. To be fair, it’s as thick as molasses. Thicker than a good butterbean blindside. But does she really talk like that?
Play a few seconds of this video from 2018, and the Big Brother houseguest sure sounds the same. There are tons of critics online who are certain her accent is fake because it’s just way too much.
But if it is fake, then she’s been faking it for years. And that seems pretty bizarre. Despite it being over the top, Jasmine’s accent seems legit since she’s sounded the same for years. Unless, of course, she only pulls it out when there’s a camera on her…
