90 Day Fiance: Kim Menzies & Usman Umar’s Second Wife Troubles
Kim Menzies finally gets Usman Umar’s mother to bless their engagement. However, the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After cast member has to sign a contract.
She agrees to let him marry a woman and have children. She also has to let him return to Nigeria four times a year. But, it seems like having a second wife can ruin their plans.

Kim speaks to an immigration lawyer with Usman. They find out that he can’t have a second spouse in America because polygamy is illegal in the country. So, having another wife would prevent him from getting a green card.
Kim Menzies feels that the situation puts their whole relationship in jeopardy. It is essential for Usman Umar and his family that he has a child. And the 90 Day Fiance reality star can’t have any kids. So, it is frustrating for her. Kim worries about their future.
Usman Drops Adoption Plan on Kim
Kim Menzies video chats with Usman Umar. He tells her that he’s been thinking about something. He asks her if she remembers his brother Mohammed’s son. She tells him, “Yes.” He says he feels like he may want to adopt him.
Kim finds it shocking to hear Usman say he wants to adopt his nephew. The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After castmate asks him if he’s joking.
He says, “no, I’m not joking.” He explains that all his brother’s children are his children. If anything were to happen to his brother, those kids would become his. He says it’s how it is in Nigeria.
Usman feels that if getting a second spouse is something that can’t happen, then adopting his nephew, Mahadi, would be the best idea.
He explains that it is important in his culture to have a child. However, he feels his connection with Mahadi is like a father-son connection. He is very close to him.

Usman Umar would love to bring his nephew to America. He doesn’t want him to have to struggle like people living in Nigeria are. He wants Mahadi to have a better life.
However, Usman knows that adoption isn’t the best option for his mother. But, the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After star thinks it is something she can accept.
His family tells him he must have his own blood to be his son. Mahadi is his brother’s child. So, they are blood.
Kim Menzies is open to Usman having a child with another wife. However, she doesn’t want to be involved in that child’s life.
