90 Day Fiance star Usman Umar has his first in-person meeting with fiance Kim Menzies‘ son. He knows how much it means to his Happily Ever After fiance that he gets along with Jamal Menzies.

He wants everything to go as smoothly as possible. So in hopes of easing some of the pressure, he surprises his future stepson with a familiar gift.

Kim Menzies on Happily Ever After had a tough time getting Usman Umar’s family to approve of their marriage. So, he suggested she bring his parents a gift. When he suggested she buy his parents a cow, she thought the gift suggestion was odd on 90 Day Fiance.

However, he assured her that it is a traditional gift that shows love and respect to the family in Nigeria. Unfortunately, they did not see it that way. Instead, they felt that Kimberly was bribing them. So, it caused even more friction between herself and her future in-laws.

Kim was upset that his parents thought she was trying to bribe them for their approval. However, that did not deter her from trying. In the end, Usman’s family caved, saw her love for their son, and gave the 90 Day Fiance couple their blessing.

Despite the cow stunt going over like a lead balloon, Usman decided to try a similar move with Kim’s son. Does the bribery work on Happily Ever After with a gift from Usman to Jamal?

Now that the couple has his family’s blessings, she wants the same from her son Jamal Menzies. So they travel to Nigeria so the two men she loves most can meet face-to-face.

Unfortunately, things between the two men are a bit tense. Usman feels that Jamal does not like him from the start. But he’s got a way to remedy things with Kimberly’s kid.

 

Jamal explains to his mom’s 90 Day Fiance that he is just looking out for his mother and does not want to see her hurt. And the tension is thick during the meeting. Then, Usman Umar tells Jamal he has a gift for him.

And Usman brings out the present, and Jamal beams when he sees it is a PlayStation 5. You can see below that he collapsed with glee. It’s just like the one his mom gifted to Usman on her first visit to Nigeria.

Jamal is thrilled to receive such an unexpected gift that he lets his guard down with his future stepdad. Usman is also happy that her son likes the gift.

The ice is starting to melt between him and Kim’s son. Luckily for her Nigerian fiance, a bribe worked much better with her family than his. Now, fans can’t help but wonder about her 90 Day Fiance love’s choice of gifts.

Some fans find it suspicious that Usman Umar gifted Jamal Menzies with a PS5 – exactly like one he got a few months back. When Kim gave Umar the expensive video game console, viewers accused her of trying to buy his love.

So, this is why some viewers find the choice of gifts a bit strange. But others wonder if this was a recycled gift — or one that he had assistance in buying.

Is there a chance that 90 Day Fiance celeb Usman packed up the PS5 he got from Kim Menzies and gave it to her son? In the US, a PS5 runs about $500. But in Nigeria, they cost around 700,00 Nigerian Naira — or roughly $1500 US. They cost a lot more over there.

So, did Kimberly Menzies pick one up for much cheaper in the US so that Usman could give it to her son? Or is it a regift? Or did he really pony up 700k of Nigerian money for the gift?

Either way, Jamal Menzies reacted to the bribe like a kid at Christmas. It definitely thawed the tension between them. But we also have to ask — why did Kim Menzies get one for her boy toy and not for her son?
