’90 Day Fiance: The Other Way’ – Yohan Geronimo’s Past Comes to Light – Recap

On 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Yohan Geronimo lets a secret slip about his past that upsets Daniele Gates. Rishi Singh is also keeping secrets from his fiancé Jen Boecher. Nicole Sherbiny struggles to fit in to Egyptian culture.

And Debbie dubs herself “determined Debbie” as her kids try to stop her from moving to Morocco. Let’s break down all the lies in this recap of Season 4, Episode 5 “Lies have Got No Legs“.

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way: Yohan Geronimo Lets a Secret Slip

On 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Yohan Geronimo and Daniele Gates are trying to establish a new life in the Dominican Republic. But things haven’t been going too smoothly for the married couple. There is the issue of Yohan Geronimo’s fly-riddled butcher shop. And that it’s really not making money

While Daniele believes in manifesting, it hasn’t really worked yet. So, Yohan can keep slinging salami for 9 more months to try and recoup some losses.

They visit a botanica where Daniele selects some herbs and potions to help with prosperity. Yohan isn’t a fan of the experience and deems it “witchcraft”.

Daniele’s friend Sophie comes to visit the pair. Over drinks, Yohan Geronimo admits he wants a child. Daniele Gates is on board and admits they are trying. Sophie wants to know if Yohan has any children out there. He says no.

But admits he did impregnate a woman who ended the pregnancy. Daniele confronts him later as he had kept that secret from her leading her to believe the woman miscarried. They fight and Yohan suggests they end the marriage.

90 Day Fiance: Rishi Singh Plays Games with Jen Boecher

The lies continued on TLC’s 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. Jen Boecher has officially moved to India to marry Rishi Singh. But Rishi hasn’t exactly been up front about their future. It seems his family isn’t aware that Jen is his fiancé. And are actively seeking women who might be his potential wife.

Jen Boecher is already upset with Rishi Singh for not telling his family about them. But he agrees to take her to meet them and even shows up with some snazzy garb for her to wear.

Everyone looks confused when they arrive to the house. While the family met Jen briefly a few years ago at a wedding, they don’t seem to understand why she’s here now.

Rishi’s friend Sanjeet has already tipped her off that the family is playing matchmaker. Jen grills them even further. And they admit they have been looking for a suitable wife for Rishi Singh.

But so far, the prospects have been “short or uneducated”. Jen Boecher is pretty peeved on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. And tells him she’s tired of his games.

Nicole Sherbiny Is Already Homesick

Nicole Sherbiny is already struggling to adapt in Egypt on TOW. It’s not surprising since she had difficulty the last time around.

Living in a small space with Mahmoud El-Sherbiny and his family is challenging. She misses everything from taking her time getting ready in the bathroom to space for her shoes and clothes.

Mahmoud hears her crying and he’s upset. He does his best to console her. She wants to head out and explore the city. A cafe catches her eye, and she wants to sit down.

Mahmoud Sherbiny has to check to make sure women are allowed at this particular cafe. Luckily, they are but Nicole still fears her life there will be isolating.

She wants to meet his friends on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. However, he doesn’t think this is a good idea. She pushes and he agrees.

But she regrets it when they do meet up as it’s awkward and the language barrier makes it difficult. While his friends were polite, Nicole Sherbiny was very anxious and ready to leave.

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way: Debbie Is off To Morocco

Debbie is determined to pack as much as she can as she heads to Morocco for a life with Oussama. She packs up her jewelry and hand fan and it’s time to go.

Her son Julien will take her to the airport. On the way he basically begs her not to go. He doesn’t have faith in Oussama and fears for his mom’s safety.

Over in Morocco we get a taste of Oussama’s daily life on 90 Day Fiance. He skateboards and feeds and interacts with feral cats. He’s more comfortable with cats because they are silent.

He paints a self-portrait of a tortured and introverted artist. Who helps his dad on the family farm. But can’t get a job because hard work will kill his creativity.

He pens poems for Debbie. And says she is the woman for him in spite of her age because the soul doesn’t grow. But admits he’s not quite ready to marry her.

Debbie’s daughter calls on the way to the airport to tell her mom this probably isn’t a good idea. But Debbie marches on to the tune of her wacky drummer and dubs herself “determined Debbie”.

90 Day Fiance: Gabriel Paboga Flounders in Colombia

While Gabe Paboga and Isabel Posada seem happy enough, he is stressing out. He’s trying to continue his underwear business GMPwear. But the language barrier and lack of materials are proving problematic. Isabel tries to help. But Gabe is anxious in the crowded streets and markets.

Things get worse when he realizes he forgot the stamps he uses to brand the underwear back in America. Isabel tries to help on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way.

But he’s feeling frustrated. It will take a month for the stamps to be shipped. And he’s not happy about the delay in getting his business rolling.

Kris Foster Is High Maintenance on TOW

Kris Foster is proving to be high maintenance on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. Shortly after arriving she needed pain killers and bubblegum toothpaste due to a pesky mint allergy.

She also revealed that she needs an extensive and pricey surgery. Jeymi Noguera is already a little freaked out by her demands.

So, it’s even more jarring when she announces she’d like to go weapon shopping. She fesses up that she’s pretty much always packed a knife or gun. And even received a knife as a birthday gift when she turned 8. Jeymi is shocked and admits for her eighth birthday she received a Barbie doll.

But Jeymi Noguera obliges her on 90 Day Fiance. But kind of regrets it once she sees Kris brandishing a large knife at the local Weapons-R-Us. Jeymi was thinking of a cute pocketknife with a mother of pearl handle.

But Kris Foster goes for a giant blade and assumes a Ninja stance right in the store. Jeymi just hopes the clerk doesn’t think her fiancé is a psychopath. Till next time!
