’90 Day Fiance: The Other Way’ Steven Admits He’s No Angel [Recap]

On 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Steven Johnston won’t drink the wine, but he does admit to his girlfriend Alina that he gave up his v-card. Ellie Rose has second thoughts about living in hurricane ravaged Providencia. Ariela Weinberg makes a hard decision that sends Biniyam Shibre into a panic.

Armando Rubio is happy with his progress with his dad but it’s not enough for Kenneth Niedermeier. And Sumit Singh is devastated by his mother’s inability to accept Jenny Slatten. Grab some wine and let’s talk about what went down in Season 3 Episode 6 Proceed With Caution.

Steven Johnston Comes Clean to Alina on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way

Steven Johnston has agreed to move in with his girlfriend Alina. He was worried about the temptations that come with living together. Because he follows the rules of the Mormon church (well sometimes) that frowns on premarital “skoodilypoop”.

Alina doesn’t trust him and has set a trap for him with the help of her friend Masha. She grills Stephen about other girls. He admits he went on some dates even after they met and spent a few weeks together.

Alina calls up Masha on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. It seems Steven did respond to her flirty DM about a photo of Utah. He said that they have the best snow and that the best time to come is in winter. Alina takes this as a full blown invitation. Which is a little crazy.

She encourages Masha to keep up the catfishing. But later demands that he delete all his social media so it really doesn’t make sense.

Steven holds up under Alina’s cross examinations. He explains that even Jesus had platonic friends so he’s good. Alina suggests the pair do a wine tasting. Steven Johnston suggests that it doesn’t jive with being Mormon. But agrees as long as they spit it out.

Steven sticks his tongue in the wine, sloshes it around and spits it out. But he must have swallowed enough to get some liquid courage and he admits to Alina that he is no longer a v-card carrying member of the Mormons. Girl. Swallow that wine.

Ellie Rose Has Her Doubts after the Hurricane

Things aren’t going too well for Ellie Rose on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. After giving up her business, home and friends for Victor McLean, disaster struck. A category 5 hurricane ravaged Victor’s hometown of Providencia.

The couple had dreams of opening a beach bar and living a carefree life. The damage is vast even though Victor’s home is still standing but lost it’s roof. While he is eager to stay and rebuild, Ellie is struggling.

She tells Victor McLean her concerns and they agree to build back over time while staying somewhere else that’s safe. Ellie is overwhelmed and calls up her BFF Hiromi for some solid support.

Hiromi is supportive but reminds Ellie Rose of Victor’s infidelity. And feels it was never properly addressed. Ellie agrees and says she plans on bringing it up once the dust has settled but now really isn’t the time.

Ariela Weinberg Makes a Tough Call On 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way

Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre take adorable baby Aviel Shibre to see his pediatrician. Avi has a habit of peeing on the doctor and does not disappoint on this day. It seems baby Avi has a little bulge near his groin that is concerning. The doctor confirms it is a hernia and suggests surgery right away.

Ariela immediately suggests she should take Aviel to the United States to get the surgery so her parents can help and her insurance will pay for it.

Of course this triggers Biniyam on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way since it’s a Deja Vu moment of his first wife leaving and taking the baby. But Ariela buys a ticket anyway and moves forward with her plan. She decides to break the news to Biniyam while he’s getting a haircut at the local barbershop.

Biniyam freaks and gets anxious and even drops to his knees to beg her not to go. Ariela assures him she will return with Aviel and gets her mom on board to soothe Biniyam Shibre.

Ariela Weinberg needs to break the news to Biniyam’s sisters so she goes to a spa day with them. This particular spa is designed to tighten you up down there after having a baby. So you spread your legs and sit over a hole that blows smoke while getting doused in butter, honey and coffee grounds.

Ariela lets the girls know of her plan and they are immediately worried that she will never come back. She promises to prove them wrong but will she?

Armando Rubio Makes Progress but Kenneth Niedermeier Isn’t Satisfied

Armando Rubio had a heart to heart with his dad on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. He is satisfied that he said he loves and accepts his son and his relationship with Kenneth Niedermeier. But his dad couldn’t commit to saying he would attend their wedding.

Armando fills Kenny in on the talk and he doesn’t hide his disappointment. He thinks Armando’s dad should be all in if he’s really being accepting, as reported by Soap Dirt.

Later, Armando’s mom and sister take Kenneth Niedermeier’s daughter Cassidy out for some shopping. They are searching for fabric to make a flower girl dress for Armando’s daughter. Cassidy wants them to know how much her dad loves Armando and Hannah. And can’t understand the issues that they have with the couple being gay.

They explain that it was difficult because Armando Rubio had a wife before and it just took time.

It’s time for Kenny, Armando, Cassidy and Hannah to leave on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. Everyone is hugging and saying goodbye but Armando’s dad is still in the house. When he finally comes out he hugs everyone (including Kenny) and gifts Cassidy a necklace.

Everyone tears up over the beautiful gesture including Armando’s dad. While it’s uncertain whether he will attend the wedding it was definitely a Hallmark moment.

Sumit Singh’s Mom Just Can’t with Jenny Slatten on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way

Sumit Singh is going to be an uncle. He visited his family to celebrate but the mood turned dark when he brought up Jenny Slatten. His mom walked out and later called him threatening to “make his life a living hell” if he stays with Jenny. Sumit doesn’t sugarcoat this to Jenny.

She suggests that they enlist the help of a counselor to help his mom overcome her anger about their relationship.

Sumit explains what he thinks is the issue on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. He said his mom lost his sister at 8 months old to Jaundice. And that she enjoyed Sumit’s first wife being around the house and her companionship. So she blames Sumit for taking that away from her and Jenny for being the reason he divorced.

He also said his dad caves to his mom and that he learned to lie to keep the peace. Will mother Sumit consent to counseling?
