Sam Wilson‘s dad gets praise from fans for being supportive on 90 Day Fiance. A man with no religious beliefs puts his differences aside for his son. But the same can’t be said for his mother.

90 Day Fiance: Sam Wilson Wants Parents’ Support

Sam Wilson heads to the mosque to convert to Islam and marry Citra. However, he wishes both his parents would be there to see him convert. He feels it is a big moment for him and his future wife. He thinks they should be there even if they don’t believe in it. Her parents are there. So, he doesn’t know why his parents can’t be.

The 90 Day Fiance cast member is surprised when he sees his father show up at the mosque to watch him convert. He knows his dad isn’t religious. But he feels he is showing him that he loves him enough to “be there and support” his son.

Sam thanks his father for showing up. His father tells him he knows what it’s like “to go through something and have none of your family there.”

However, Sam’s mother is still not coming. It makes him sad because she gave him hope that she might have actually come. He feels that having Citra’s dad and his parents there would have been “the perfect moment.”

Sam’s Dad Shows Up

Sam’s father finds “all religions interesting to some extent.” He is an atheist and believes in aliens. So, he feels that it makes more sense that “gods were more unlikely from other solar systems.” He adds, “Especially with the way the pyramids are set.”

However, the 90 Day Fiance cast mate’s father reveals that he was often left alone during his marriage. He explains that his side of the family was never there for him. So, he would never do that to his son.
