90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days star Rosemarie Vega is the newest cast member linked to a GoFundMe campaign. The Filipino girlfriend of Ed Brown revealed someone started a fundraiser for her. But instead of being happy about it, Rosemarie is crying foul. Here’s why.
90 Day Fiance: Rosemarie Vega Says Fundraiser is a Fake
Looks like Rosemarie Vega is the latest victim of a bogus GoFundMe. Earlier this week, the 90 Day Fiance newcomer revealed a fundraiser was launched for her and her young child, Prince. Apparently, the campaign’s target goal is to gather at least $12,000. The account claims the amount will then be used to help Rose and her son “get out of poverty”, but it seems any money will not go to Rose or her son.
Rosemarie Vega discovered the fundraiser and warned her 90 Day Fiance fans not to fall for it. She even called the person behind it a “scammer”.
Rosemarie said she’s “NOT AWARE [all caps] of this GoFundMe.” Then Rose clarified that she’s never met the person that started it and it’s no one in her family that began it. Next, Rosemarie asked for help to “report this fraud”. However, the identity of the person who started the campaign has yet to be confirmed.
TLC Fans Still Want to Help Young the Single Mother
Despite the fraudulent GoFundMe drive, many are still eager to financially assist Rosemarie Vega. The 90 Day Fiance newbie seemed to have gained sympathy from people who have witnessed her impoverished life on the show. Many have expressed their concern for Ed Brown’s lady love and her young son.
In fact, some commenters encouraged Rosemarie to start a real GoFundMe for herself. They even promised to give donations and promote the campaign. Others also asked for Rosemarie Vega’s address in the Philippines so they can send presents for Prince. There were others who think Rosemarie should join Cameo and earn extra money like her fellow TLC ast members.
