’90 Day Fiance’: Paul Staehle Defends Ex During Custody Update
90 Day Fiance star Paul Staehle and Karine Martins‘ custody case for their children continues to head South. And it doesn’t look like things will change for the troubled parents anytime soon.
Despite the former couple’s marital issues, he stepped to defend his estranged wife during a recent custody debacle in court. It’s not he said versus she said. It seems to be them as individuals versus the powers that be!
90 Day Fiance: Explosive Behavior Behind Paul Staehle & Karine Martins Custody Battle
Many 90 Day Fiance followers do not have a lot of sympathy for former couple Paul Staehle and Karine Martins’ during their current battle to regain custody of their two sons, Pierre Staehle and Ethan Staehle. They do, however, feel bad for the young children.
I was at a big veterinarian hospital because my dog was sick years ago. Watching the TV and didn't know the show and I see Paul run away and Karine get mugged by a guy with a machete. That was it. I was hooked. Lol

TLC viewers say they think Karine and Paul’s wild behavior is behind the loss of their kids. Their legal issues began in March with accusations of domestic assault. Things became even more bizarre after their son Pierre was listed as missing.
It sounded like Paul took the kid and ran, but he came forward to say it was just miscommunication. His son had been safe with him all along. One thing led to the next between the two exes, and CPS got involved and removed both boys from their care.
90 Day Fiance: Paul Calls Out the Court
The 90 Day Fiance situation involving the kids has been confusing for everyone following the story. Viewers know that the marital issues between the spouses have been out of control. Then the state of Kentucky decided it warranted the removal of the children.
As they continue to fight CPS and the court system, both Paul and Karine keep their followers updated on social media. However, things remain grim. Paul feels that the court is unfair, especially to their mother. Recently, he ranted about the case in a heated update.

Paul’s Instagram story said that he feels it is very sad that his ex Karine continues doing everything the courts and CPS have demanded of her — and more. Yet, he said the court only allows her to see the boys for one hour, one day a week.
The 90 Day Fiance TLC personality defends his ex, saying she has been working any job. And she lost all government benefits, which included housing, food, and medical assistance. He then continued to attack the judge and the court system.
“Our children miss their parents. The termination of our parental and custodial rights without a fair opportunity at Reunification shows how corrupt the system is,” said Paul Staehle.
What’s Next for the Former TLC Couple?
The 90 Day Fiance stars may be sticking together throughout their custody battle. But their marriage is a very different story for both of them.
They began their marriage in November 2017. The couple split in early 2022. However, despite their battle, Paul moves on from his marriage to Karine. But in May, he but posted photos of himself with a new mystery woman.
As for his ex, she’s focused on regaining custody of her sons. He says they are determined to do whatever needs to be done to hire a legal team to help them get their children back. Do you believe they will regain custody?
Many 90 Day Fiance fans say the only thing that matters is the children are in a safe and stable environment. They also feel very sad for the boys, who are innocent bystanders. The viewers are angry and say the spouses only have themselves to blame.
