90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After star Paola Mayfield revealed that she isn’t ready to have people hold baby Axel. On the show, Russ Mayfield‘s mom is coming to meet Axel for the first time. However, Paola asked Russ to make it clear to his mom that she can’t always be with the baby. At the time Axel Mayfield was still a newborn and Paola didn’t want time with her son taken away from her. It was important for Paola to bond with her baby. However, Russ Mayfield doesn’t want to tell his mother that she can’t hold Axel. Therefore, it caused friction in their relationship. Is Paola being a little too overprotective?
90 Day Fiance – Paola Mayfield Not Ready To Share Baby Axel
Paola Mayfield doesn’t feel ready to introduce Axel to Russ’s family on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After. She doesn’t want his mom to hold the baby for a long time and focus all her time on him. Therefore, Paola told her husband Russ Mayfield to tell his mom that her time with the baby will be limited. She is not ready to have other people hold her son.
The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After Colombian native admitted that she does need help with things around the house. Therefore, she will accept help from Russ’s family. However, when it comes to taking care of the baby she doesn’t want any help. Paola Mayfield feels like if Russ’s mom focuses her time all on the baby, Paola wont be able to have her bonding time with Axel.
Russ Mayfield Hopes Meeting Goes Well
Russ Mayfield is hopeful that his mom meeting Axel will go smoothly on 90 Day Fiance. He is aware of how protective Paola Mayfield could be when it comes to their baby. Russ’s mother is beyond eager to meet her grandson. He hoped that Paola will be able to let go just a little, so his mom can be a grandmother to Axel. Russ stated that he will not stop his mother from holding his son. In fact, Russ expressed that he will encourage it.
The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After first-time-father isn’t just worried about his mother meeting Axel. His mom will also be meeting Paola’s mom, Gladys for the very first time. Russ Mayfield said that he hopes the meeting between his mom and Paola’s mom goes well.
Is Paola Being A Little Too Overprotective?
Russ Mayfield admitted on 90 Day Fiance that since Axel has been born things between him and Paola have been difficult. He stated that “Pao is being beyond overprotective.” Russ added that “it can be overbearing.” He stated that she needs to open up more and let others help out.
The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After first-time-mother expressed that she is being overprotective because of the previous miscarriage. Gladys does want to support her daughter since she is in America by herself. However, she revealed that she doesn’t understand why Paola wont let people hold the baby. Glady doesn’t want this issue to lead to a bigger conflict.
