90 Day Fiance star Karine Martins and her husband Paul Staehle‘s entire relationship has been rocky. The couple has tried living together in both the USA and Brazil. However, in each country, the couple’s problems seem to follow. Their language barrier certainly doesn’t help the matter.
In this week’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After we see Karine Martins meet secretly with an immigration attorney. The young mother is looking for answers to questions she has should she decide to take their son Pierre Staehle with her to Brazil without Paul. What we are seeing this week on the TLC series shows Karine laying the groundwork for the events playing out in their lives now in real-time.
90 Day Fiance: Karine Meets With An Immigration Lawyer
90 Day Fiance celeb Karine Martins is unhappy living in The United States with her spouse Paul Staehle. So she decides to sneak off behind his back and learn what her options are should she decide to leave him. She orders a car to take her and Pierre to the lawyer’s office. Thankfully this lawyer has a Portuguese interpreter available. This certainly made communicating easy for both parties.
The lawyer did tell Karine that she could take her son to Brazil on 90 Day Fiance. However, even though she could, it doesn’t mean that this couldn’t get ugly with her husband. In fact, he can even show up at the airport and stop her from leaving. So although she can freely travel to Brazil with Pierre, based on what the lawyer told her, it really could turn ugly fast.
So, of course, Karine feels trapped. Ultimately she needs to do what’s best for her son. Plus she doesn’t want Paul not to be a part of his life. The constant flying back and forth between the two countries won’t be good for Pierre. The lawyer advised her it would be best if she took Pierre on good terms with his father’s permission.
Paul Staehle Issued Ultimatum
90 Day Fiance alum Paul Staehle was issued a strong ultimatum by his wife Karine Martins. He promised her things would be better for them in the USA. However, he’s not shown her that to be true. So she gave him two months to find a job to support their family. However, it’s been weeks and still, Paul is unemployed.
90 Day Fiance’s Karine Martins is all alone in the USA without any support system to lean on. So since Paul is unable to provide them a better life as promised, Karine believes it would be better for her and Pierre to return to Brazil where she has her entire family to help her emotionally and financially. That was her motivation for seeking legal advice. Now that she knows her options, she can do her best to make things work or at the minimum get Paul’s blessing to take their son back to Brazil with her.
90 Day Fiance: Karine Laid The Path To Leave Paul Months Ago
90 Day Fiance fans recall Paul Staehle and Karine Martins have been the topic of online chatter recently. The couple both aired their dirty marital laundry all over social media for the entire world to see. It’s obvious that the events playing out now between the couple has long roots. In fact, we now see as the show airs this episode that Karine laid the groundwork for her to leave Paul months ago.
Certainly, Paul had to have known that Karine sought legal advice. If he didn’t know then he certainly knows now. The 90 Day Fiance pair are currently separated and Karine is pregnant again. However, once again Paul is claiming his wife’s unborn child is not his.
So, as this season starts to wind down, the off-camera drama for this family continues to unfold. Hopefully, Paul and Karine will work things out for the sake of their son. However for now it appears they’re heading in the direction of a divorce.
