Jenny Slatten’s relationship with Sumit Singh has been far from perfect. They knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. However, without his parents’ approval, they wouldn’t be able to get married. His parents didn’t like that she was older than him and could not give them grandbabies.

However, the 90 Day Fiance couple decided to go against his parents’ wishes and became husband and wife. Jenny and Sumit have been married for a year and a half. And are happy with where life has taken them. They have even come a long way with his parents since announcing they wed. But there is still more progress to be made with one family member.

Jenny & Sumit Get Father’s Approval

Jenny and Sumit got the approval of their marriage from his father, Anil, during the reunion special. She was so happy and shocked. All she could do was put her hands together and thank him. He feels that his father is understanding, and his acceptance of their relationship has made it easier for his mother to do the same.

The 90 Day Fiance cast member was happy when his mother called and wished his wife a “Happy New Year.” They found it surprising to hear that from her. She feels it is a “positive step forward” and “in the right direction.” She hopes that they can have some relationship in the future.

However, Jenny and Sumit were still holding out to get approval from his mother. His parents plan to visit them in a few days. So, they are hoping for the best.
