90 Day Fiance Co-Star Jo Jo Ditches Angela Deem as a Friend – Why?

From the first episodes of Before the 90 Days, Angela Deem’s best friend Jo Jo was a constant presence. She was there when her friend went ring shopping was back in 2018. And it was Jo Jo who got onto a plane and flew to Nigeria to stand at Angela’s side as she married Michael Ilesanmi.

All along Angie’s 90 Day Fiance journey, we’ve seen her best friend there patiently enduring the other woman’s tirades and tantrums. That included Jo Jo being there as Angela had her surgeries and all those ups and downs. Yet, Jo Jo just announced that she called it quits with the Hazlehurst grandma.

Jo Jo said that she parted ways with the 90 Day Fiance diva back in August. She said it was a “hard decision” but she knew in her heart it was “time to move on”. The big question is why. And Jo Jo summed it up in two words “people change”. In the case of Angela, that’s self evident. And then Debbie Johnson jumped into the mix.

Jo Jo Throws Shade at Michael Ilesanmi’s Wife

In addition to implying this was about Angela changing, Jo Jo posted that you can do “99 things for some people” yet all they “remember is the one thing you didn’t do”. She called that statement “truth”. And if you’re a longtime watcher of the 90 Day Fiance franchise, you probably have seen her do lots for Angela Deem.

But they’ve come a long way since that first episode of Before the 90 Days back in the Fall of 2018. Since then, Angela’s been on season after season – with Jo Jo seen often. Now, Michael’s wife seems wilder than ever. On the most recent 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After Tell-All, she screamed at Michael’s aunt and flashed her naked tata’s on TV, as covered by Soap Dirt.

Then on 90 Day Fiance spinoff Bares All, the Georgia grandma pulled open her skirt and showed off her lower half too. Are these antics what pushed Jo Jo away or was it something Angela did to her directly? It seems more personal based on what Debbie Johnson said about the situation. And Debbie is definitely Team Jo Jo in this BFF split.

90 Day Fiancé’s Debbie Johnson Lashes out at Angela

As Jo Jo revealed that she’d called it quits with Angela, her ex-best friend hasn’t commented publicly. Instead, she’s posting about going to movie premieres with famous friends like JoJo Siwa (from Dance Moms and Dancing with the Stars fame). And it looks like she might be getting her own spinoff based on all the recent hints.

But another 90 Day Fiance fan favorite cast member, Debbie Johnson, added fuel to the flames. When Debbie supported Jo Jo, she came out swinging and said she “doesn’t put up with people that treat their friends like sh*t”. And Debbie said Jo Jo’s gone “above and beyond” for Angela Deem. She said her BFF was “like family” and “you just don’t do that”.

Angela Deem’s ex-bestie agreed, telling 90 Day Fiance star Debbie Johnson that she’s “absolutely right”. Whatever she did to set off her ex-pal, Debbie looks to know all about it – and doesn’t like it. If you didn’t know, Debbie was also good friends with Angela – and Jo Jo. You can see the photo above when the two Georgia girls visited Debbie in Vegas.

So, whatever went down, Debbie Johnson seems to have a front row seat as she was friends with both women from 90 Day Fiance. Now, though, Mother Debbie’s drawn a line in the sand and stands with Jo Jo against Angela Deem. We’ll have to see if any of this shade comes out on future TLC episodes.
