David Dangerfield from 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days is upset that Sheila Mangubat didn’t learn sign language before he came to the Philippines. He wants to get to know her on a deeper level. But it is hard for them to communicate.
90 Day Fiance: David Dangerfield Faces Challenges with Sheila Mangubat
David Dangerfield went to the Philippines to meet his online girlfriend, Sheila Mangubat. He was happy to meet her in person finally. He planned to get to know her better, and if all goes well, he would pop the question.

However, the 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days cast member’s time in the country has had many ups and downs. He got to meet her parents. Yet, shortly after meeting them, her mother died from an unexpected accident. She fell down the stairs.
David also struggled to bond with Sheila’s son. However, he took them to the beach after an awkward first meeting. He was able to hang out with her son more and start to build a relationship. Yet, it seems like one thing is still bothering him.
David Wants Sheila to Use Sign Language More
David finds it hard to communicate with Sheila through texting. So, he tells her they should put away the phone and practice sign language. And she agrees. He then tells her, “Let’s see what you got.”
The 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days castmate signs to him that she will try her best. But she tells him she only knows a little bit of sign language. He asks her why she didn’t learn more before they met. She explains that they would always talk through text messages. So, she didn’t see the need to.
It bothers David that Sheila doesn’t use sign language. However, he ignored it because she was dealing with her mother’s passing. But he wishes that she would use sign language more. When he tries to talk to her through texting, it is harder for him to connect with her on a deeper level. He feels it will be hard for them to have a future if they can’t communicate.
Sheila does know a little bit of sign language. However, she is not fluent. So, she doesn’t sign a lot when speaking to David. And, since he hired a translator, she didn’t have to use any of her sign language knowledge to talk to him. But he wants that to change.
90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days Celeb Willing to Learn?
David Dangerfield tells Sheila Mangubat to learn all she can, and she will eventually become fluent. She tells him she understands. But will she put in the effort to learn more sign language — or will they continue to use their phones to communicate?
However, the 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days celeb changes the subject by asking him if he wants to shower with her. And that is something he will not turn down. He tells her that they can shower and take a bath at the same time. She agrees.
