Stacey Silva and her 90 Day Fiance celeb sister Darcey Silva are the latest addition to the long list of celebrities who became victims of fake sensationalized advertisements.
The advertisement uses the Silva twins’ segment in 90 Day Fiance: Pillow Talk and covers their face with a graphic that has “OMG” on it. To make sure the ad gets swiped on, it has the title “TLC Twin Stars, Found Dead By Suicide”, but links to an article that is not about Darcey Silva.
A quick look at the article that the ad links to reveals no connection to Darcey and Stacey Silva at all. The write-up basically talked about celebrity deaths but made no mention of Darcey Silva or her twin sister. It’s clear that they were merely used to draw attention.
Farrah Abraham Blasted Over Darcey Silva Dead Clickbait Posts
Farrah Abraham’s account posted that Stacey and Darcey Silva are dead and fans reacted. Her followers called out the MTV celeb for spreading rumors on her IG, which has two million followers. The fake ad worried fans of the 90 Day Fiance sisters after they read the misleading post. Apparently, some thought the rumors were real and that the Silva twins were actually dead.
Others blasted Farrah for allowing such a malicious post in her account. They think the reality star goes too far in her bid to get as many clicks as she can. Some also accused her of using Darcey and her twin Stacey Silva to stay relevant.
Aside from her using Darcey Silva and sister Stacey, Farrah’s account also shared another clickbait post using another 90 Day Fiance star. In another “swipe up,” Farrah shared a photo of Syngin Colchester.
This ad is titled, “TLC Star Comes Out Of The Closet”. Farrah Abraham’s IG account implies that Syngin Colchester is gay. But, the article the ad links to is completely irrelevant to Tania Maduro’s fiance.
Is Farrah To Blame?
Farrah Abraham has yet to make a comment about her controversial posts. Farrah does not directly control the ads that are shared on her Instagram. But, she has to be aware of the type of advertising company she is using. So, It seems that Farrah has chosen to make a few extra dollars by using horribly misleading ads.
