90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days‘ Big Ed Brown might be the breakout star of the TLC spinoff’s fourth season. Ironically, the thing that makes him stand out the most is his height. But it’s also been the cause of a lot of bullying throughout his life. In a recent interview, Big Ed dove into his experience with bullies and gave some advice to fans facing similar adversity.
90 Day Fiance: Ed Brown Talks Bullies in School
Big Ed Brown stopped by the H3 Podcast and talked about his newfound 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days fame. Despite facing backlash from Rosemarie’s sister, being judged for using mayonnaise in his hair, and his height, he’s retained a positive attitude. He even gave one member of the crew a mayonnaise conditioning.
Big Ed says he was “body-shamed” in high school. He says the kids used to call him “No Neck Ed”. Most 90 Day Fiance fans know by now that he has Klippel Feil Syndrome (KFS). It’s a congenital disorder where at least two vertebrae in the neck are fused together.
KFS is why Ed’s neck is so much shorter than the average person. Yet, he doesn’t let that get him down, even when people make fun of him for it.
According to Ed Brown, he used to work out with the football players when he was in high school. The 90 Day Fiance star said that one time he even got stuck in one of the machines. Coincidentally, Ed says it was called “the neck machine” and that he was told to “never use” it.
Does Big Ed Have Steel Balls?
Not only does Ed Brown talk about high school bullies, but he also dishes on current ones. Since his 90 Day Fiance debut, Ed has been getting fan mail and it’s not all good. Some people are still shaming him for his appearance, but he’s focusing on the good things that people are saying.
He says one person from South Africa wrote to him, claiming that Ed has “balls of steel”. They praised him for being so “open” on national television.
90 Day Fiance: TLC Star Gives KFS Fans a Shoutout
Big Ed Brown also sends a motivational message to his fans that also have KFS. “Don’t let that define who you are”. “Be yourself and love yourself for who you are”.
He’s now proud to be a person with KFS because he can have a positive impact on people’s lives. He says to viewers, “let’s try to love each other more”.
