1000-lb Sisters: Who Is Dr. Charles Procter to Amy Slaton & Tammy Slaton?
1000-lb Sisters has Tammy Slaton and Amy Slaton taking big strides to drop the weight that is dragging them down. They opted to take a weight loss journey and one of the first steps brought them to Dr. Charles Procter. He is a bariatric surgeon that specializes in obesity. Many fans have talked about how handsome the doctor is. In fact, Amy says that he is good-looking.
Many fans love him and have pitted him against the other very well-known bariatric surgeon on TLC. Dr. Younan Nowzaradan. He has been the go-to weight loss expert for years. But, he stopped working with the Slaton sisters after giving Amy weight loss surgery and not being able to get Tammy to lose the weight needed to get approved for surgery.
TLC Doctor Gets His Own Show
1000-lb Sisters’ Tammy Slaton and Amy Slaton started to pull away from Dr. Charles Procter. He recommended that they use a doctor closer to home to be more encouraging for Tammy. But still offered to do the surgery when she gets approved. So then Tammy switched to Dr. Eric Smith, who is also a health care professional that specializes in obesity as well. But once Dr. Procter broke away from the sisters he landed his own show called Too Large.
The premises of Too Large is similar to My 600-lb Life. People who fall in the category of being extremely obese work toward losing weight. Once they hit a goal weight they qualify for weight loss surgery. This is when people started to think he was going to compete with Dr. Younan Nowzaradan. But the sisters reveal that they haven’t forgotten about the hunky surgeon.

Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters and Amy Slaton have not forgotten about Dr. Charles Procter. They may be in the great hands of Dr. Eric Smith but they can’t get Dr. Procter out of their heads. Tammy looks at her and says neither before calling Amy out on how she was the one who thought Dr. Procter was “adequate.” But Amy is quick to come back and says she remembers Tammy calling Dr. Procter cute first. So Tammy says that he is okay. Amy says that is also what Tammy said about Dr. Smith too.
