1000-lb Sisters celeb Tammy Slaton started Season 3 off strong. She was in a facility that was helping her lose weight.
Tammy was able to shed pounds there but found herself missing being in everyday life. She gathered the knowledge on weight loss she learned and went home with a fire under her to keep going.
Her siblings Amy Slaton and Chris Combs weren’t fully sure that she would be able to continue on her own.
Tammy did manage to impress her siblings by dropping weight on her own at first. But soon, relationships and stress got to her, and she gained back all of her weight.
Even Dr. Eric Smith from 1000-lb Sisters dropped her as a patient. He dropped her until she can start to prove that she is willing to make the efforts to lose weight.
Her final appointment with Dr. Smith disappointed fans. She let the doctor know that she is no longer trying to lose weight at all. But fans worry just how far she will take this.

1000-lb Sisters’ Tammy Slaton has Amy Slaton and Chris Combs worried about how how Tammy eats. And about her stopping her diet. Tammy talks about how she is too stressed to even work on taking 75 steps a day. Clips from later in the season show Tammy falling a little further off the wagon than fans would like.
She is seen taking shots and drinking with a bunch of men. While it is not uncommon for Tammy or even Amy to indulge in drinking, it’s certainly not part of their diet.
Chris recently got the weight loss surgery himself. He, Amy, Misty Slaton, and Amanda Halterman all want to help their sister.
Tammy’s family has tried many things. From showing her just how good life can be with vacations, to hiring a home care nurse.
Chris and Amy talk about Dr. Eric Smith dropping Tammy as a patient. They try to decide what is now best for Tammy.

Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters becomes the topic of family discussions a lot. Amy Slaton and Chris Combs find themself worried for their sister and want to help her get better. Season 2 even came to an end with Chris pleading for Tammy to go to a rehab center for her food addiction.
Chris tells Amy, “I really think she is not able to do it without a controlled environment.” Amy agrees to tell him the only problem is once she gets in a controlled environment, she is ready to come home.
Watching 1000 lb sisters and Tammy leaving the rehab was a big mistake. She was making great progress there. It’s like 5 steps forward and 10 steps back with her. It’s heartbreaking. #1000lbSisters

Soap Dirt shares a quote from Chris saying, “Yeah, I really do think her will and fire to lose weight is gone.”
Chris says that he felt bad that Tammy was dropped by Dr. Eric Smith. But, at the same time, he says Tammy did this to herself.
