‘1000-lb Sisters’: 5 Signs Tammy Slaton’s Dropped Serious Weight
1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton appears to be losing weight, which is a huge relief to the fans that worry about her. During season 2 of 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy struggled with losing weight. Instead of losing weight like she’s told to by doctors, she ends up gaining a lot of weight.
Yet, it doesn’t look like all hope is lost for Tammy’s weight loss efforts. Here are five signs that Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters is losing weight.
#1: Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters Is Back on Her Feet
During season 2 of 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy isn’t able to walk around much. TLC producers make it clear how much her mobility is limited when they showcase Tammy walking toward a chair to sit down for an interview. But, she barely makes it to the chair and is out of breath for several minutes after sitting down.
All throughout season 2 of 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy Slaton’s in a wheelchair. She gets pushed around by her brother-in-law, Michael Halterman, even while on a date with her boyfriend, Jerry Sykes. Amy Slaton says Jerry Sykes isn’t strong enough to push his girlfriend around in her wheelchair.
However, Tammy Slaton’s recently gotten up close and personal with her camera. The 1000-lb Sisters star made a video of herself dancing. But, in this clip, she appears to be standing up while she’s moving her arms around to dance. This is a huge improvement to what fans formerly saw on season 2, where she wasn’t able to stand up for very long.

#2: TLC Star Dances Around
Plus, Tammy Slaton’s moving around by herself. During season one of 1000-lb Sisters, Amy Slaton buys a dancing video game to play with Tammy. Amy thinks this family activity is a great way to get both of them up and moving around.
However, after only a few seconds of trying to dance around, Tammy quits. She says she can’t do the dances. But, in one of the latest clips shared by Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters, she’s grooving around without looking fatigued.
#3: 1000-lb Sisters: Tammy’s Got a Thinner Neck
Also, Tammy Slaton spends a lot of her free time online. One fan asked Tammy from 1000-lb Sisters if she’s wearing a face mask all the time in the updates she shares with her supporters to hide her fan. But, she laughs this off.
She says she only wears a face mask to keep herself and the TLC crew protected from COVID-19. Considering the effects it had on her health, it makes sense that she doesn’t want to get sick again.
Shortly after this update, she begins to take off her face covering in her clips. Now, it’s clear that her neck is a lot smaller than it used to be. There is loose skin that’s starting to appear.
#4: Celeb Isn’t Using Oxygen
In another telling update that Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters shared with her fans, she revealed that she isn’t using oxygen anymore. After getting sick with COVID-19 in 1000-lb Sisters season 2, Tammy was completely dependent upon oxygen to breathe.
Yet, Tammy says she doesn’t need to use her oxygen as much anymore. She says there are some times when she needs it, but she doesn’t rely on breathing assistance. So, she’s able go without the oxygen tube on her face all the time.
#5: 1000-lb Sisters Celeb Tammy Slaton Rumored to be Walking
