Young and the Restless has Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) the subject of a scavenger hunt for skeletons in his closet by three men in Genoa City right now on the CBS soap opera. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has become quite protective of his daughter. When he heard Victoria was engaged to Ashland Locke he was happy for her. However, he is concerned for her well-being. Ashland says he has advanced stage lung cancer. He is also much older than the NE CEO.
Then, there was a fast track corporate merger and proposal. And suddenly, Ash started treatments. So, there are several red flags. There has been much speculation that Ashland may not actually have cancer. It seems obvious that Ash is ill with something. Unless of course, he is a great actor. However, he may not have a life-threatening illness. The discovery of this information would be a shock. Vikki and the New Yorker’s romance has been on the fast track due to his failing health on Young and the Restless.

The info found could be about Ashland and the deal he’s made with Vikki, his health, or something from further in his past. Perhaps Victor finds something shady in the small print of the merger contract for Locke Media and NE. Maybe Ash could gain full control of the companies if he was sneaky. Young and the Restless updates show several people already confronted Ashland. He played it cool most of the time. He chalked up their pointed questions to concern and love for Victoria. However, it is likely that Ash will get tired of the constant scrutiny. Ashland Locke likes to be in control. So he may get defensive – especially if he is actually up to something.Â

The big question remains – will they discover something that causes Victoria to call off the wedding? A fake illness or planned business coup would be a definite deal-breaker.
