Nate uses his position at the hospital to review Ashland Locke’s medical records. He discovers that Ashland never had cancer. He is healthy and faked all of his symptoms. Young and the Restless news show he planned to deceive the entire Newman family from the get-go.

When faced with hard proof, Victoria must admit Ashland used her. The betrayal is so huge she is left devastated. However, in a recent interview, Robert Newman hints Ashland loves his wife. In the beginning, he planned to use her as a means to an end.
