‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Phyllis Uses Summer to Hatch New Scheme

Young and the Restless spoilers promise Phyllis Summers returns to Genoa City this week. However, she may put a new plot into motion that could destroy her daughter on the CBS sudser.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Summers Stuns Summer Newman

This week, on Y&R, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) comes back to GC. The first (and only) person she contacts is her daughter, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).

Of course, she’s in shock and may think she’s hallucinating. She asks her mom if she’s real. Phyllis assures her grieving daughter that she is, in fact, real. Then they share an emotional embrace.

No doubt, she’ll be overjoyed. But then, she gets another shock. Official Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis asks her not to tell her brother, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), their mom is alive.

Indeed, it will be hard for her to keep this big news to herself, especially from Daniel, who is grieving just as much as she is. However, Red has her reasons. And she might want to get Summer on board before going public with her return from the dead.

Y&R Spoilers: Red Spins New Lie

Soon, it looks like Red explains how she’s still alive. But instead of telling the truth and hoping for forgiveness, she might concoct a new story. Chances are, she claims that Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) was working with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) to get rid of her.

Then, she’ll likely blame Stark and say that he turned on Diane putting all the blame on her, and that’s why she’s facing prison time. Of course, Red can’t admit she killed Stark even though it was self-defense. And Summer already firmly believes Diane is guilty on Young and the Restless.

So she should have no problem believing her mom’s story that she’s the real victim. Sadly, it looks as though Red may use her daughter’s misguided faith in her to help her sell her story to everyone else.

Summer Never Forgives Her Mother on Young and Restless

Eventually, the awful truth will come out that Phyllis conspired with Stark to fake her death and blame it on Diane. As if that’s not enough, Summer will feel doubly betrayed because her mom used her to try and get out of the mess she created.

So, Red’s plot to get her children back and keep Diane behind bars may work — at first. But when everything comes out, as it always does, Red will lose everything, and her kids will never forgive her. Plus, she may land in prison herself.
