‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Phyllis Plot Against Tara Backfires on Summer

Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) targeting Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) messes up Summer Newman‘s (Hunter King) life. Her mom just can’t stop scheming and plotting, and this time, it could cost her daughter everything on the CBS soap.

Already, Phyllis Summers can see that Tara Locke’s getting in between Summer Newman and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). And she doesn’t trust the New Yorker or like where this is going. So, Phyllis warns her kid to watch out.

However, Y&R spoilers also know Summer must play it cool because Tara’s the mother of Kyle’s son, Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). So, she’s trying to get along with Tara, while also trying to form a bond with Harrison.

But, as Young and the Restless viewers know, Phyllis Summers has no patience. She won’t sit by if she thinks someone’s disrupting her daughter’s life. But her pushing could cause problems for “Skyle”.

Already, Phyllis provoking Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has a huge plot brewing that neither Summer nor her mom knows about. And that’s set to tempt Kyle’s fiancee to leave Genoa City. If Red had left the designer alone – it might not have come to this on Y&R.

Y&R Spoilers: Red Targets Tara Locke – Kyle Irritated?

Young and the Restless spoilers predict if Phyllis Summers goes after Tara Locke, then Kyle won’t like it one bit. That’s the mother of his only child. So, he expects some respect from his ex (and future) mother-in-law.

But, Phyllis is incapable of playing nice. Unfortunately, her bad behavior is more likely to rebound on Summer Newman than on Phyllis herself. You can bet Tara would go running back to Kyle to tattle about any antics.

It sure looks like Tara Locke’s taken Sally’s advice to target Summer’s guy on Young and the Restless. So, any chance to make his fiancee look bad is a point in her favor. And she won’t even be able to deny that Phyllis is plotting.

Again and again, in recent months, Summer and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) both asked Phyllis to chill with her plotting, but she won’t do it. Now, her inability to sit back and let her daughter run her own life could ruin everything.

Will Summer Lose Kyle to Tara – Thanks to Phyllis on Young and the Restless?

Now, Phyllis thinks Kyle should put Summer Newman first in all things on Y&R. Usually that would be true. But with his and Tara Locke’s child in the mix, little Harrison must come first. So, by pushing at his baby mama, Phyllis is directly provoking Kyle.

Young and the Restless spoilers suggest if she puts Kyle in a place where he has to choose Tara and his son – or Summer – the choice is clear. The kid must come first. Especially since he grew up not knowing his dad, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

So, Phyllis warning Summer to watch out is unneeded. She already knows that Tara being in their lives is a problem. But she’s also smart enough to know she can’t just push the other woman away from her fiance. It would backfire.

But Young and the Restless watchers know that Phyllis isn’t subtle at all. She tends to go after her enemies like a bull in a china shop. And her over-the-top behavior might mean Tara Locke ends up with Kyle – and Summer Newman with nothing.
