‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Mariah Goes Off the Deep End – Kidnaps Baby Dom?

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Does Mariah Copeland Have PTSD?
Mariah Copeland survived a horrible kidnapping ordeal on Y&R. While she is now safely home, she is still suffering after-effects. Awakened by terrible nightmares, she screams out if the baby is okay. Her loved ones surround her. Yet, she feels emotionally cut off from others, per Young and the Restless spoilers.
Mariah is numb and has no interest in anything and can’t seem to be happy. Her only moments of pleasure are holding baby “Bowie”. Bonding with the unborn baby kept her sane in captivity. Now that he’s been born, it left a hole in Mariah Copeland’s heart that is not going away. Young and the Restless scoops report she may have a PTSD-like condition that could cause her to act out in strange ways.

Both Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) can see that she is struggling. However, Tessa hopes that time will heal all Mariah’s wounds. Her naivety is understandable. However, Sharon is a trained therapist. Young and the Restless spoilers wonder why she hasn’t insisted that her daughter get the help she needs.
Will Mariah Kidnap Baby Dominic on Y&R?
Young and the Restless recaps showed Mariah Copeland went into surrogacy with the best intentions. She was committed to Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) raising the baby as their son. Now, it seems that may have changed since Dr. Ben Rayburn’s (Sean Carrigan) evil plan unraveled. Did Stitch ruin her life?
Next week on Young and the Restless, Abby comments to baby Dom that no one will ever take him away from her again. It seems to be a not-so-subtle hint that it’s exactly what will happen. With her current post-traumatic stress, the birth mother might think she needs to keep Dom safe. Or maybe Mariah Copeland gets confused and thinks she’s really the mom of baby “Bowie”.
If you recall Mariah’s backstory on Young and the Restless, she was kidnapped as an infant and sold to a cult leader. So, it would be pretty bizarre for her to do the same to another infant. But, there are red flags dropping everywhere that she might be instable and has an unexpected attachment to Abby’s biological son.
She can’t hide her discomfort when Abby Newman mother’s the baby on Young and the Restless. Yet Abby seems oblivious to the fact that the her surrogate is having a hard time. Once Mariah was saved from Stitch, and Abby got her baby, she was focused on Dom. Yet Mariah’s clearly struggling from what Abby’s ex-husband did to her.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tessa Gets a Shocking Proposal
Current Y&R information says Mariah Copeland makes a life-changing proposal to her girlfriend, Tessa Porter. Many fans are hoping she’ll put a ring on her finger. But it might be something else entirely. Perhaps she wants them to have a baby to fill the hole in heart left by losing Bowie.

If Tessa agrees they can start a family on Young and the Restless, Mariah might fast-track it by taking the child she just birthed. Or, if Tessa says it’s too soon, that could be what triggers her partner to take Abby’s baby. While it sounds far-fetched, the writers had no problem turning good guy Stitch into a crazed kidnapper – so anything is possible on Young and the Restless.
Keep watching to see if Mariah Copeland spirals and steals the baby she bonded with so deeply while held captive in that basement. All the signs seem to point that way on the CBS sudser. So, it seems this plot might be far from over — although many fans might wish that it was. Buckle up — it’s not done yet.
