‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Ashland Not Dying of Cancer – Is He Playing Victoria?

Ashland Locke has a well-known reputation as a ruthless businessman. His nickname is the Locke Ness Monster for a reason. However, since he moved to Genoa City, he has presented as a gentle and kind man. But what if it is all an act, and Ashland is not really dying on Young and the Restless? It could be that he’s totally tricked Victoria Newman.
Spoilers reveal he tells Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) that he is ill when he stops by Victoria’s place. But Ash quips that he never said it is a fatal condition. What if that is the truth? Ashland presented with symptoms of fits of coughing and shortness of breath. However, there are several illnesses that show such symptoms but are not life-threatening. So, is this a ruse to fool Victoria and others, wonder Young and the Restless spoilers?

Young and the Restless spoilers theories suggest that Ashland Locke doesn’t really have cancer and may be lying to Victoria Newman. He could have another condition that he can pass off as a fatal condition. He might have developed asthma or some sort of nasty allergies, It could be chronic bronchitis, or even anxiety. Or, worst of all to imagine – Ashland might be faking all these attacks. And Victoria believes it.
In fact, Ashland might have set this all up to steal Newman Enterprises out from under the family in revenge. Recall Young and the Restless viewers watched as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) took advantage of Ashland as he had a heart attack. Now he could hurt Vikki to make her father pay for his duplicity. And no one has seen Ash at a doctor’s appointment nor has Victoria gone with him to see a doc.
Victoria Newman Devastated By Scheme on Y&R?
Victoria Newman has been single for a long time. Fans see Victoria’s married to her job on Young and the Restless. Her ex-husband has moved on with his new girlfriend. So, Victoria Newman was alone and isolated. However, that all changed when Ashland Locke walked through her door – and it made her the perfect target for him.
Now, Victoria’s been swept off her feet by Ashland. Because she believes Ashland is dying, Victoria’s personal and professional partnership with Locke moved quickly. Now, Victoria took him into her bed, home and heart quickly. Victoria Newman also moved to merge their companies into an international powerhouse on Young and the Restless.
But if Ashland Locke is pulling a fast one, Victoria will be destroyed. She has a lot to lose if it’s just a ploy. Several of Victoria’s family and friends warned her not to trust the apparently dying man. However, she has more than just her pride on the line. Victoria Newman wants to prove to her dad she’s a mogul in the making. However, Ashland might have pulled off a coup on Y&R.
Now that the two companies have become one, Ashland Locke could make a play to steal the power for himself. Then, Victoria would be left heartbroken and ashamed on Young and the Restless. Spoilers know she’s been unlucky in love for years. So, Victoria obviously doesn’t have the best judgment when it comes to men. And Ashland may be the latest in a long string of bad choices with guys.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victoria Fooled & Ashland Here to Stay?
Recent Y&R casting news says powerhouse actor Richard Burgi was originally only scheduled to appear as Ashland Locke in nine episodes of the soap opera. However, he has now been in over 40. So it seems he will be around as Ashland Locke for quite some time. Young and the Restless fans seem to love him – and like him with Victoria Newman even if he is playing her like a fiddle.

For certain, Y&R needs a “big bad” and that’s another reason that it seems likely that Ashland is not dying. He is front and center in a major storyline with Victoria Newman. And as a proven fan favorite, why kill off Ashland. Time will tell if Ashland Locke is terminally ill and leaves the CBS soap soon – or if he’s playing a twisted revenge game with Victoria Newman and her family.
Perhaps he does have cancer – but it is operable and non-fatal – so he’s only telling half a lie. The latest Y&R spoilers say that later this week, Vikki gets some info from Ash that shakes her.
