‘Young and the Restless’ Comings & Goings: Chelsea Newman Back – Melissa Claire Egan on Y&R Set
Young and the Restless comings and goings show Melissa Claire Egan returns to filming as Chelsea Newman last week after her maternity leave. Now, there are several juicy storyline possibilities for Chelsea on the CBS soap opera. Also, Chance Chancellor may be discovered alive in Spain with a new actor filling the role.

Missy Egan is back on set and jumps right back into the action. Chelsea Newman’s been gone for weeks as Missy and her husband, Matt Katrosar, welcomed their first child. Young and the Restless news indicates Caden Robert Katrosar was born on August 21, 2021.
Now back from maternity leave, Egan films her first scenes as Chelsea with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and her business partner BFF Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson.) They’re an exciting trio to see they work together on the Newman Media fashion platform in new The Young and the Restless scenes.

Things could get dicey if Chelsea sees the feisty redhead flirt with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on Young and the Restless. Especially since he shut down his ex-wife’s attempt to reunite. Chloe warned Sally to keep it professional with their boss. However, Y&R spoilers know Sally goes after what she wants. So, she and Chelsea will bump heads.
With “Phick’s” recent break-up, Chelsea Newman could also spend time with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow.) Soon, Chelsea and her ex-fiance may tap into the intense connection they once shared. So, Soap Dirt readers should expect to see Chelsea Newman involved with lots of action as both her personal and professional life take center stage.
Chance Chancellor Found Alive on Y&R?
Recent spoilers hint Chance Chancellor will return with a different face. Currently, Chance is missing and presumed dead. However, his wife Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is in denial. She is determined to head to Spain to see the site where he supposedly died on Young and the Restless.
She recruits her mother-in-law Nina Webster (Tricia Cast), to join her on the trip. Young and the Restless scoops hint that Abby also asks her brother for a favor next week. So, it seems either Abby and Nina travel to Spain. Or Nick could make the trip with her — or on her behalf.
Now, all signs indicate Chance is found alive, However, Donny Boaz will not be back, per a Young and the Restless leak. A photo revealed a big welcome home party for the undercover agent. Y&R co-star Amelia Heinle shared then deleted a pic at the fete. So stay tuned to see Chance come home with the help of Abby’s family.
Young and the Restless Ins and Outs: Jesse Gaines Back to Cause Trouble
Jesse Gaines (Jamison James) returns to town looking for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Jesse appeared on his doorstep, begging for help. Billy immediately takes the schemer in and hides him at a hotel on Young and the Restless.
Now, Billy hopes to use the information he gathers from Jesse to bring Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and his media company down. However, it seems Jesse’s return is likely part of Victor and Adam’s plan to set up Billy. Yet, Billy Boy falls for it. Young and the Restless updates hint the consequences play out next week.

But his comeuppance will also affect his romance with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). She’s sick of his petty games. If his actions hurt Chance Comm, she may walk away from him on Young and the Restless. We expect sketchy lawyer Jesse to exit as soon as The Mustache is done destroying his ex-son-in-law.
