Young and the Restless Comings and Goings: Meet Eric Vanderway
Digging around in the skeletons in Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) closet is never a good idea. And Y&R casting reveals that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) found a new sibling – Eric Vanderway. Turns out Dina had a son by Stuart Brooks (Robert Colbert) and gave up the kid after giving birth in Europe right after high school.
So, technically he’s not quite an Abbott, but he’s clearly family since they share a mother. This is a messy situation. But since the family considers Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) one of their own, it only seems fair to treat Eric Vanderway as family too. And that also means his son Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) part of the clan, promise Young and the Restless comings and goings.
Y&R Comings and Goings: Cane Ashby Out – Gloria Bardwell Back – Meet Simon Black
As Young and the Restless comings and goings recently confirmed, Cane Ashby is done and Daniel Goddard was cut from the CBS sudser. He seemingly blamed Neil and Lily’s absences on his character getting shelved. But, at least Cane’s leaving with cash after getting Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) inheritance.
Also, you can see above that Michael Baldwin actor Christian LeBlanc shared a pic. It’s his on-screen family with Greg Rikaart (AKA Kevin Fisher) and Judith Chapman (AKA the always-fab Gloria Bardwell). This sure seems like a hint that Glo might be back – and that’s great because Jack needs a lady in his life, hint Y&R spoilers.
One last Young and the Restless casting tidbit is that this Friday, November 1 brings Simon Black into Genoa City. Awesome soap actor Jeffrey Vincent Parise is in the role. It’s a short arc. And, he’s got scenes with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
So watch Monday for the reveal of Eric Vanderway as the newest extended Abbott family member and all the action as November sweeps kicks into gear.
