Young and the Restless: Amanda Sinclair Reads Abby Newman for Filth
Recently on Y&R, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) returned to Genoa City and ran into Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). And of course, it was extremely awkward because of what went down with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
You’ll recall on Young and the Restless that the last time Amanda had a run-in with Abby, the ladder was naked and on her sofa after bedding the lawyer’s boyfriend. Now, the Naked Heiress wants to make amends but how do you play nice after banging her man?
And Amanda was quick to remind her of exactly how badly she betrayed her. Then, she told her she did not have any time for Abby and walked away. Naturally, this is not the only time that Abby’s been called out for her sketchy behavior.
Do you recall how she earned the nickname Naked Heiress? It’s not like she’s exactly shy but hopping into bed with someone else’s guy is a pretty backstabbing move. It’s hard to doubt that Abby deserved every harsh word Amanda spat at her on Young and the Restless.
Naked Heiress Has Awful History with Men on Y&R
Maybe it’s Abby Newman’s deep-seated daddy issues with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that are causing her so many issues with men. Remember, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) stole his sperm, so her beginnings were sketchy in typical soap opera style.
For years, she made public scenes and it all seemed about getting her father’s attention. She was labeled the Naked Heiress after riding into the GCAC nude, on horseback. That was well before the Melissa Ordway recast, though.
But at least she didn’t pull that stunt at the big Young and the Restless 50th-anniversary gala. And that wasn’t her only incident of public nudity. She also invited the press to see her floating naked in the Chancellor pool.
In fact, Abby herself encouraged the naked nickname. She asked Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to publish that about her in Restless Style. Despite all the attention, she’s never luck in love.
Arturo Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) cheated on her. And Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) slept with her mother Ashley. And a whole host of men have walked away from her because of her Newman family mess.
Then, Young and the Restless finally gave her a shot at a happy ending. That was with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). But she was the one that ruined everything by behaving very badly. Given her history, is there any chance it will work out with Devon?
Nina Webster Slut Shames Abby Newman at Young and Restless Gala
Things get awkward fast on Y&R when Abby Newman runs into her ex-mother-in-law Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) at the Masked Gala. Of course, Nina is furious that she betrayed Chance and was unfaithful to their marriage on the CBS soap opera.
Indeed, Abby did her husband dirty by cheating with Devon. Plus, Chance had done nothing but offer her his love although he was dealing with some intense PTSD issues at the time. No doubt, his wife betraying him didn’t help any of that.
And what outrages both Nina and Amanda is that Abby continues to sleep with Devon. Amanda flipped when she found out it’s turned into a full-blown relationship. Because she thought it was just a one-night stand…
It could be that Abby is with the perfect man now. But it’s just a shame that she had to break Chance’s heart to make it happen. So, do you think Abby Newman deserves the sl*t-shaming she’s gotten recently on the CBS soap?
