Wells on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ – Newlywed Bartender Spills Huge Season 8 Change

Wells on Bachelor in Paradise is back behind the bar in Season 8 – and the newlywed husband is ready to serve drinks to the lovelorn, hoping for a hook-up or happily ever after. This season on the ABC hot mess romance show, there are some big changes – and quirky bartender Wells Adams spilled the details.

Wells on Bachelor in Paradise – What Changes Can We Expect in Season 8

BiP is back tonight, and Wells Adams is spilling the tea before he starts spilling cocktails on the show. He wants Bachelor Nation to know there are huge changes afoot like they’ve never seen. Well has seen a lot since hopping behind the bar starting in Season 4 of the spinoff.

The first change is that the series moved from Summer to Fall. It’ll be in the Monday time slot once earmarked for Dancing with the Stars. Second, the new host is Bachelor alum and ex-NFLer Jesse Palmer. He also said Bachelor in Paradise felt different this year because he lacked context.

He said they taped BiP before The Bachelorette aired so he was totally unfamiliar with the cast for which he was mixing up drinks. Wells says this was different because he had “no bias” since they were all strangers to him who hedged on whether they’d been villains on the show.

Lots More Episodes for Bachelor Nation Fans in BiP S8

You can expect a lot more content on ABC. Wells Adams confirmed ABC ordered 13 more hours than past seasons, yet they didn’t shoot extra footage. So, he says that means that stuff that wound up “on the cutting room floor” will make it to air instead. Hopefully, it’s good stuff.

Also, Lace Morris is back (a BiP alum who was on Ben Higgin’s season). Bachelor in Paradise spoilers confirm she’s as desperate as ever, faking that it’s her birthday to get attention when she doesn’t have guys chasing her. She wonders why the men aren’t her, saying it “blows my mind.”

Although Wells knows it’s not her birthday, he lets her get away with the ruse and starts pouring birthday shots for her and the men. When the bartender presses, she tells him to play along. After a Season 3 engagement to Grant Kemp flopped, she wants to land a guy in Season 8 but will this ruse help?

Newlywed Wells Adams Remains a Fan Favorite

Fans met Wells Adams on The Bachelorette Season 12 in Summer 2016 with JoJo Fletcher but things didn’t work out for him. Back then, he was a radio DJ but went out in 8th place. That’s not a stellar finish considering the big splash he made to wow JoJo from the start.

At his intro on the show, he had R&B stars All-4-One sing their hit I Swear for her on night one. He got a rose in week 2 and then a chance at group dates. It wasn’t until The Bachelorette week 6 that Wells got a one-on-one with JoJo. He got a kiss but no rose and then a ticket home.

However, Wells Adams was far from done with the franchise. He was on Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 in 2016 as a love hopeful. He got close to Ashley Iaconetti but then left in week 6 after they didn’t work out either. And that still didn’t end his BiP run. He landed a slot as the show’s bartender.

BiP Bartender is a Newlywed – When Did Wells Marry Sarah Hyland?

In 2017, Wells met his future-wife Sarah Hyland (Haley from Modern Family). They had their first date right before she had a kidney transplant. It was their first in-person meeting, and she took him as her plus one to a pre-Emmy party.

He was star-struck to see people from Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones, and Stranger Things. Then, he said Sarah was impressed by how many people recognized him from his Bachelor in Paradise bartending gig. He thinks she was testing him to see if he could handle her fame…

Wells proposed on the beach in July 2019 after dating for two years. COVID crushed their original wedding plans but they finally wed on August 20, 2022, at Sunstone Winery, near Santa Barbara, in a romantic outdoor wedding.

How and Where to Watch Bachelor in Paradise 2022

What channel is Bachelor in Paradise on, and when should you tune in (or set your DVR)? This year, Season 8 kicks off Tuesday, September 27 at 8 PM Eastern/7 Central. Then, next week look for episodes on both Monday and Tuesday nights throughout the season.

If you’re watching live or setting your DVR, tune into ABC. If you stream, you can watch BiP on Hulu as it airs – but only if you have Live TV, not just the standard subscription. That one airs shows a day later.

You can also check out more at ABC’s website. But expect lots of tears, tantrums, and sexy scenes. One of the castmates said this season is like “geometry beach with all the love triangles”. And after the ladies shake their backsides, one guy said profoundly, “When I saw her twerk, I just knew…”

Tune in to see Wells Adams serve up drinks and mop up after the messiness on Bachelor in Paradise Season 8. We’re also expecting to see a serious jump from the 11 episodes last season to perhaps double that in S8. Don’t miss tonight’s two-hour premiere Bachelor Nation!
