‘Welcome to Plathville’: Ethan Chooses Kim Over Olivia?
Welcome to Plathville son Ethan Plath feels constantly being pulled into two different directions in his life. He wants to keep the peace in his marriage with his wife, Olivia Plath.
However, he also feels a strong pull to his family in Cairo. Ethan knows what he wants and needs to do. But, he also knows the decision will not go over well with his wife.
Welcome to Plathville: Ethan Plath Revisits Family Home
Olivia Plath knows her husband is not handling the news of his parents’ divorce well. So, when Moriah Plath expresses her need for family interaction, her big brother agrees.
As a result, the Plathville siblings plan to return to Cairo to visit family. Olivia decides this is a perfect way to show support for her husband and decides to accompany them.
Things continue to be tense between the Welcome to Plathville couple Ethan and Olivia. She knows that her husband resents her for some of the problems with his family.
So, she wants to attempt to smooth things over with her spouse. She contacts his dad, Barry Plath, and tells him she wants to try and start a new with their relationship since his wife, Kim Plath, is no longer around to block them.

Olivia shares with Moriah that she has been in contact with their dad. The news takes her by surprise. Moriah also seems confused and even questions her sister-in-law’s motives. Regardless the group sets off to Cairo.
Guilt & Remorse Set in For Plathville Star
Ethan is making it clear to his family that he wants to see them, not his mom Kim. When the Welcome to Plathville siblings arrive at Barry’s, a conversation begins about Kim.
Moriah tells her family she is feeling sad about excluding her mom from their visit and family activities. He states that he is uncomfortable around his mom, especially until they sit down and discuss everything.
I think that after seeing how his dad feels he’s opening his eyes to the fact that may be his future because even though he’s still mad at his mom I think he sees Kim and Olivia are very similar just by the comment he made that he’s upset with them both. #Plathville #plath

All of the Plath siblings, sans Micah Plath, head out to the farm where they grew up to stay the night. Ethan is having a great time, running around the farm as he did as a kid with his siblings at his side.
He begins to feel what Moriah has been talking about. He wants to be with his family again too. However, he feels guilt and remorse set in.
Ethan Plath feels guilty that his family is divided due to the issues between himself, his wife, and Kim. He hates that his life is constantly being torn apart. However, he knows no matter his decision about his family, it will hurt someone.
Olivia Plath is Hurt by Ethan’s Decision to Speak to Kim Plath
Barry asks his son if he is willing to talk with his mom soon. The Welcome to Plathville star tells his dad he is, but not during this visit.
He says he still needs time to process everything. Olivia is sitting at her husband’s side. When he tells Barry he plans to talk with his mom, you can tell this is the first she hears about this.
She is not happy. During their confessional, Olivia admits she has negative feelings for Kim, but what he decides to do is his choice. But the Plathville star is unhappy.
It is also noticeable that Ethan looks very uncomfortable hearing her say this. He knows this will become a big issue between them.
Do you think she will devise a plot to keep Kim and her son apart? Or will Ethan Plath take a stand and do what he feels is best for him? Some TLC viewers feel that Olivia will continue trying to manipulate her husband to keep him away from Kim.
But, with only two more episodes left in Season 4, fans are preparing for something big to go down. What happens next between the members of the Plath family is anybody’s guess.
