‘The Family Chantel’: Pedro & River Become Best Friends
The Family Chantel stars Pedro Jimeno and River Everett have come a long way in their relationship. Enemies turned to friends on this TLC reality series.
The Family Chantel: Pedro and River Came to Blows
Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno did not have an easy relationship on 90 Day Fiance. The two may love each other, but there was no harmony between their families. Chantel does not get along with both Pedro’s mother, Lidia Morel, and his sister, Nicole Jimeno Morel. Pedro has had his share of arguments with The Family Chantel.
This all came to a head at a dinner in 2018. Karen and Thomas Everett invited Nicole to dinner with the family but there was tension even before the evening began. The whole group began arguing right away, and things quickly escalated. River and Pedro ended up in a physical fight. The family and producers had to pull the two apart. Chantel was crying because she was so upset.
The Family Chantel Softens Towards Chantel’s Husband
Chantel and Pedro love each other and their 90 Day Fiance marriage took a turn for the better. They were able to put the fight with River behind them and move on.
Thomas even arranged a “guys trip” for himself, his son-in-law and son. He hoped the three of them would bond and they did.

The Family Chantel soon found other issues to concentrate on. They became suspicious of both Winter Everett’s boyfriend Jah, and their Royal Everett’s fiance, Angenette. With others to focus on, they worried less about Pedro and he became more part of The Family Chantel. There was plenty of drama elsewhere.
River Confides in His New Friend Pedro
River Everett discovered that Chantel’s 90 Day Fiance husband is not so bad after all. Pedro and River learned to appreciate each other. Pedro even said that he looks at River as a “little brother”.
The brothers-in-law went on a “mission” to chop down a Christmas tree for The Family Chantel. “We got duty to do,” the two joked together in a confessional. “The past is the past and the only thing that matters is right now.” River said in the same confessional.

Pedro Jimeno and his brother-in-law have something in common. The two 90 Day Fiance stars both do not approve of their sisters’ choice in men. River does not think that Jah is good for Winter and Pedro has a big problem with Nicole’s boyfriend, Alejandro. This was a bonding moment for the two because they were able to advise each other on what to do.
River Everett found a true confidant in Pedro Jimeno. He recently began dating Megan, but did not tell the family. River chose to tell Pedro about his new girlfriend before the rest of The Family Chantel. Pedro was happy for his friend but did not miss the opportunity to tease him. “Justice is coming,” he said, referring to when Karen and Chantel find out about Megan.
It will be an interesting event when The Family Chantel meets Megan but Pedro has River’s back now. What a difference a few years make. Stay tuned to see what happens on this TLC series.
