‘The Circle’: Lance Bass the Worst Catfish?

The Circle player Lisa joined the game as Lance Bass. She thought being him would get her closer to the cash prize. But it seems like she may not be doing a good job at being a catfish. At least fans don’t think so.

The Circle: Lance Bass Enters the Netflix Game

Lance Bass is the latest player to enter The Circle on Netflix. However, it isn’t the NSYNC member himself — it’s his personal assistant, Lisa. She thought that being her boss would be fun and that she would be good at convincing people that she is the boy band member. As Lance’s assistant, she felt that she knows him more than he knows himself.

The Circle contestants were shocked to see a celebrity join the game. However, not everyone knew who Lance Bass is. Chloe Veitch doesn’t seem too familiar with his band, NSYNC. Lance/Lisa has a big task on her hands. She must convince the others that a pop star is in the game.

Lance/Lisa Treats Players to Brunch

After getting an alert that Lance Bass is in The Circle, the players got an invite to get to know him over brunch. They wanted to find out more about his career. Lance/Lisa said that he’s been in the entertainment industry for almost 30 years.

However, Terilisha from The Circle was quick to ask the question many people had on their minds. She wondered if Lance Bass/Lisa would be donating the 100K prize to a charity. The others didn’t like that she asked that right away. But, they were curious to find out the answer. Lance/Lisa said that the money would be put towards starting an NSYNC reunion tour.

The contestants didn’t like Lance Bass/Lisa’s answer. They thought he didn’t need the money to start a tour, especially when other band members could fund it. The others also felt that the money could change their lives. Lance/Lisa’s response made some of the contestants cautious. Trevor/Deleesa — who is also a catfish — starts to think that he’s not the real deal.

Is The Circle Player a Good Catfish?

Many viewers of the show are wondering why the contestants didn’t question Lance Bass/Lisa more. One person said they were surprised that more people didn’t ask Lance/Lisa more questions to find out if he’s a catfish. Another person said that they don’t understand why “super fans” aren’t catching on to his lies. A person even said that he is “one of the worst catfishes” and that no one would want a celebrity to win.

On the other hand, many The Circle viewers didn’t like Lance Bass/Lisa’s answer about the winnings funding an NSYNC tour. One person said that Lisa had “shot herself in the foot” with that answer. Another person said that she should’ve said it was just a joke. They thought she could have been more believable if she went with the “playing for charity” story.  However, fans will have to continue to watch to find out if Lance/Lisa will get the block.
