‘Teen Mom’: Kailyn Lowry Loses Lawsuit Against Briana DeJesus
Teen Mom stars Kailyn Lowry and Briana DeJesus‘ lawsuit is over. After nearly a year of legal battles, the courts have finally reached a verdict.
Things did not go Kailyn’s way. Last June, Lowry filed a lawsuit against DeJesus for publicly suggesting that she physically attacked her ex, Chris Lopez.
Teen Mom: Kailyn Lowry & Briana DeJesus End Long Court Battle
Earlier this month, Teen Mom Briana DeJesus said she was very confident in her case against Kailyn Lowry. DeJesus announced the court’s decision with a simple comment stating, “I won.”
Court document details reveal that the judge found Kailyn’s defamation claims unfounded. Additionally, the official judgment says that Briana’s words online could not be considered defamatory.
The judge finds that Briana’s comments contained factually accurate information per court documents. Also, DeJesus’ remarks were made following news reports reporting on Kailyn Lowry’s domestic violence arrest.
However, despite Kailyn’s claims of damage to her reputation, the judge feels any damage occurred before Briana’s remarks.
According to court documents, any damage to Lowry’s reputation occurred when news media outlets published the incident.
Kailyn Reveals She Is Standing by Her Truth
Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry took to Instagram to address the court’s decision. Kail writes that the decision was unfortunate. However, she will respect the court’s ruling. But Lowry says that she is standing by her truth.
Lowry still says that the information spread about her is untrue. During Lowry’s Instagram announcement, she also thanked her legal team. Lowry adds now that the case is over, she can spend more time focusing on her family and work.
So, what is next for the feuding Teen Mom stars? Fans reveal they never expect to see Briana DeJesus and Kailyn Lowry become friends. However, now that the lawsuit is over, maybe both will finally move on.
Many fans feel it is time for them to end their constant quarrels. So far, Briana DeJesus has yet to say much about the court’s decision. That is just yet anyway. However, Briana did post a big thank you to her attorney on her Instagram stories.
Teen Mom: Moving Forward
Fans feel that they may soon see the last of Kailyn when it comes to filming Teen Mom. Lowry has been pretty open in telling fans that she needs a change.
Kail recently revealed that she is not into filming any more television moving forward. Lowry states she is tired of cameras showing every detail of her life.
However, Kailyn said there is one way she will continue in reality TV. That way to receive an offer for a reality series of her own.
She also expresses interest in enrolling in law school in the next few years. Lowry reveals that she will be ready to make a career move when her youngest son begins school.
Briana DeJesus says that her plans post Teen Mom are still up in the air. However, she reveals she is considering a future in acting and writing. But she was quick to go to Twitter to brag about the ruling, as shown below.
