Young and the Restless spoilers indicate Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has an encounter with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) that turns ugly. The Abbott heir forgave his mother and is ready to move on with their lives on the CBS soap opera. However, Phyllis has other ideas.

Spoilers see Kyle is happy to have his mother back in his life. For years, he thought she was dead. Kyle Abbott missed so much time with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Now that she is back in town, he wants nothing more than to develop a strong mother-son connection. But, Phyllis has a lot to say about that. She warns Kyle not to trust his scheming mother.
His mother-in-law reminds him of all of her horrible deeds in the past. She even calls his mother evil. But Kyle is hearing none of it. He truly believes Diane has changed for the good.
He wants his mother to be a large part of his life on Young and the Restless. But Phyllis Summers won’t stop. So, Kyle tells her to back off.
Then, Kyle Abbott promises Phyllis he will do whatever it takes to protect his mom. His veiled threat doesn’t go unnoticed. The feisty redhead tells Kyle he will regret his decisions. The conversation ends poorly as Phyllis storms off.

To make things easier for her daughter, Phyllis said she’d made peace with Diane. However, it was all a farce because she hates her more than ever. Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) begged her mom to leave the past behind her on Young and the Restless.
However, Phyllis Summers simply can’t do it. Now that her mother and husband had an angry showdown, Summer is in a horrible position.
She loves her husband and mother dearly. If they can’t move on from this issue, Summer may be forced to choose between Kyle and her mother.

While she has been leery, Summer has stood by her husband’s side over this challenging issue. But Phyllis Summer gets more deranged by the day.
So how knows what she will do next when it comes to Diane. However, if she hurts the other woman, she will have to answer to Kyle Abbott.
Kyle’s Mom’s Motives Still a Mystery on Young and the Restless
But why did Diane return to Genoa City? Is Kyle Abbott her only motive for her resurrection after all these years? Or is there more to the story?
Phyllis Summers is sure the other woman can’t be trusted. And she is determined to protect her family. So far, Diane has been on her best behavior on Young and the Restless.
She can give as good as she gets when cornered. But for the most part, she seems like she’s changed. So is Phyllis entirely off base? Or is her rival really hiding something?
